Deep Eddy Ruby Red mixed with either flavor of Squirt soda (original or the berry) is one of the easiest refreshing summer drinks to make! As long as you're a fan of grapefruit that is haha, luckily I am so it's one of my go to's!
Deep Eddy lemon vodka was my go to for a long time. We'd do 70/30 to 50/50 water and vodka mix. Straight out of the freezer, it tasted like and was as smooth as lemonade after mixing.

My parasitology professor told a story about how he diagnosed his case of giardia in his parasitology class when he was in college. He was backpacking, and his water filter broke, so he got stuck risking the local water. Apparently didn't boil it enough. Anyway, between trips to the bathroom, the class when he got back in was on giardia. He approached the professor after class and said that he thought he might have that. Without missing a beat, his professor dumped out the last of his coffee and handed him the empty cup to collect a specemine in. Giardia is pretty easy to diagnose with just a microscope because it's a dual nucleated protist. It's shaped a bit like the classic diamond shaped kite with it's flagellum resembling the string, except thanks to the two nuclei, it looks like it has googly eyes on it. Anyway, your ex friend was an asshole who almost certainly has or is in league with intestinal parisites.
I like grapefruit, but I really like to muddle it with stevia & salt served into a highball glass of tonic water & gin. Then a bar spoon of gum syrup or Rasberry Koolie stirred lightly enough within to leave a ribbon effect.

I went to UT Austin in the 90s & Deep Eddy Pool is pretty much as you described it!! It's not exactly the best of the spring fed pools though. That's Barton Springs Pool. And yes at least back then you could smell patchouli (and weed) from the parking lot!!

So I was on my way to get my regular breakfast, you know the one (toasted, not buttered, whole grain bagel with skim cream cheese from the TIm Horton's outside my stop), and I ran into McPhail himself! Tapped me right on the shoulder wearing that god awful tie his wife gave him back in prom. So we start chatting and turns out he's a landscaper for my cousin Ronald! He told me that Ronald wants a fountain on his front lawn, and not just any fountain, he wants one with one of those cherubs urinating as a spout! Can you believe the nerve? Imagine I take my boy for a walk and he makes and example out of it? Sooner or later he'll be urinating all over the neighborhood and the next thing I know the law enforcement will be knocking at my door explaining how my boy is at the local station for public indecency! All because of that pompous request to have that _fountain_ being the centerpiece of his front lawn. It will be the scourge of the community! I won't stand for it and neither would any parent with any common sense! So here I am in a bad mood going into the office and guess what? Becky had the nerve to pile all this paperwork onto my side of the desk even after I had repeatedly told her not to so on _many_ past occasions. This time she tells me that this is paper work Casey from HR needed her to do because of Bill's behavior last week. She said since it affected the entire office _I_ had to contribute to finishing it. Even though I had to finalize my overdue article she insisted that HR would appreciate my perspective. So here I am marking checkboxes until noon when the boss comes down and demands that I publish my article by 2. I was forced to do Becky's paperwork and scolded in front of everyone as they went to get lunch, oh I was furious! I was so sour going to eat my late lunch but to top it all off somebody had used my mexican salt blend! HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO EAT MY GRAPEFRUIT WITHOUT MY MEXICAN SALT BLEND?! Anyone with their head even screwed on backwards would know that that salt blend is MINE. I don't have time to label all my tupperware and plastic bags! I suppose I never assumed everyone in this office might be a thief! I would suggest first finding out exactly where the fountain will be placed. Some municipal regulations prohibit water structures within certain spots around sidewalks and roads for the express purpose of allowing maintenance and infrastructure development in the future. If in fact the placement is within city approval parameters, ask that the fountain be turned away from the street. The worst case scenario is to ask that a fence, bamboo wall, or something decorative obstruction be placed between the fountain and public viewing areas. A good friendly chat should suffice. It also sounds like several HR visits are in order. Coworkers who habitually overstep professional boundaries need habitual correction from their respective supervisors. A quick way to establish a pattern is to include a note, either on your company's intranet activities log, or in duplicate note forms, detailing why you had to utilize your time and effort the way you did, and who it was in response to. "This work became prioritized due to Casey's inability to generate organized workflow to my inbox." This allows a paper/electronic trail to develop over time and shows your supervisors that you are covering for your coworkers lack of work ethic. And once a requisite amount of notes has built up, you may in fact not need to contact HR at all, as your supervisors will have all the data they need to correct your coworkers behavior. Lastly, if you do not keep your Mexican salt blend on your person at all times, I can hardly offer any advice. As the greats have said before me, "You only have yourself to blame."

My parasitology professor told a story about how he diagnosed his case of giardia in his parasitology class when he was in college. He was backpacking, and his water filter broke, so he got stuck risking the local water. Apparently didn't boil it enough. Anyway, between trips to the bathroom, the class when he got back in was on giardia. He approached the professor after class and said that he thought he might have that. Without missing a beat, his professor dumped out the last of his coffee and handed him the empty cup to collect a specemine in. Giardia is pretty easy to diagnose with just a microscope because it's a dual nucleated protist. It's shaped a bit like the classic diamond shaped kite with it's flagellum resembling the string, except thanks to the two nuclei, it looks like it has googly eyes on it.
Anyway, your ex friend was an asshole who almost certainly has or is in league with intestinal parisites.

I ordered the traditional for breakfast this morning.
I ran wine and spirits stores for years and one thing I learned. Deep eddy is a vodka.
I went to UT Austin in the 90s & Deep Eddy Pool is pretty much as you described it!! It's not exactly the best of the spring fed pools though. That's Barton Springs Pool. And yes at least back then you could smell patchouli (and weed) from the parking lot!!
I just made a roast beef sandwich with mozzarella, Mayo, and sliced chicken sausage. Pretty good.

@@anthonyaguila2952 Hi Anthony! While it’s not authentic from Italy mozz, it’s BoarsHead cheese (the fanciest stuff you can get in my local grocery stores). As far as the chicken sausage, I just wanted to get a LITTLE WILD and mix it up for my lunch. It ended up being truly delish 🙂

The long story arc and the side characters are genius. It would be interesting to see the back story evolve/devolve, and meet Abby, Chadwick, or some new love interest it some side videos. In any case, pure genius.
So I was on my way to get my regular breakfast, you know the one (toasted, not buttered, whole grain bagel with skim cream cheese from the TIm Horton's outside my stop), and I ran into McPhail himself! Tapped me right on the shoulder wearing that god awful tie his wife gave him back in prom. So we start chatting and turns out he's a landscaper for my cousin Ronald! He told me that Ronald wants a fountain on his front lawn, and not just any fountain, he wants one with one of those cherubs urinating as a spout! Can you believe the nerve? Imagine I take my boy for a walk and he makes and example out of it? Sooner or later he'll be urinating all over the neighborhood and the next thing I know the law enforcement will be knocking at my door explaining how my boy is at the local station for public indecency! All because of that pompous request to have that _fountain_ being the centerpiece of his front lawn. It will be the scourge of the community! I won't stand for it and neither would any parent with any common sense!
So here I am in a bad mood going into the office and guess what? Becky had the nerve to pile all this paperwork onto my side of the desk even after I had repeatedly told her not to so on _many_ past occasions. This time she tells me that this is paper work Casey from HR needed her to do because of Bill's behavior last week. She said since it affected the entire office _I_ had to contribute to finishing it. Even though I had to finalize my overdue article she insisted that HR would appreciate my perspective. So here I am marking checkboxes until noon when the boss comes down and demands that I publish my article by 2. I was forced to do Becky's paperwork and scolded in front of everyone as they went to get lunch, oh I was furious!
I was so sour going to eat my late lunch but to top it all off somebody had used my mexican salt blend! HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO EAT MY GRAPEFRUIT WITHOUT MY MEXICAN SALT BLEND?! Anyone with their head even screwed on backwards would know that that salt blend is MINE. I don't have time to label all my tupperware and plastic bags! I suppose I never assumed everyone in this office might be a thief! Oh I'm absolutely livid and Lord have mercy on whoever I find took my salt because HR will definitely hear about this one and I'll make sure _Becky_ get's her fair share of the paperwork!

@@fltchr4449 You can expect a plethora of events that will drive any sane person off the rails such as the lack of sugar by the coffee machine, constant paper machine failures, and missing pens.
McPhail decided that landscaping wasn't what he envisioned himself to pursue back in highschool so he was on his way to an interview at the local strip club (he was recommended that overdressing is better than underdressing)
I would suggest first finding out exactly where the fountain will be placed. Some municipal regulations prohibit water structures within certain spots around sidewalks and roads for the express purpose of allowing maintenance and infrastructure development in the future. If in fact the placement is within city approval parameters, ask that the fountain be turned away from the street. The worst case scenario is to ask that a fence, bamboo wall, or something decorative obstruction be placed between the fountain and public viewing areas. A good friendly chat should suffice.
It also sounds like several HR visits are in order. Coworkers who habitually overstep professional boundaries need habitual correction from their respective supervisors. A quick way to establish a pattern is to include a note, either on your company's intranet activities log, or in duplicate note forms, detailing why you had to utilize your time and effort the way you did, and who it was in response to. "This work became prioritized due to Casey's inability to generate organized workflow to my inbox." This allows a paper/electronic trail to develop over time and shows your supervisors that you are covering for your coworkers lack of work ethic. And once a requisite amount of notes has built up, you may in fact not need to contact HR at all, as your supervisors will have all the data they need to correct your coworkers behavior.
Lastly, if you do not keep your Mexican salt blend on your person at all times, I can hardly offer any advice. As the greats have said before me, "You only have yourself to blame."
