@@jordand4611 his first verse on I'm Not sounds a bit like rap, his new freestyles are raps, I prefer the acoustic version of One by One tbh, The End is a bit of rapping, The End/Undead definitely has rapping in it on his verse, Aim Steady is another song I can definitely hear his old style on, his verse of the remixed version of Warrior is definitely a rap, his verse on Daggers with We Came As Romans is also seemingly a rap, a pretty quick one too, oh and this song I can hear it a bit

Some of us started listening to you four or five years ago when you were dropping bangers like doubt me. Some of your fans are going to be fans of your rap, that's why they became your fans in the first place. Why would you ask if a freestyle that's half the length of this rock joint (which, the freestyle had a rock backing, it's not the same) isn't enough for someone who is a fan of your rap? It shouldn't even count as a minute 30, because it's a rock track with rap vocals. So 45 seconds. No, for the fan who commented, that wasn't enough to keep them around.
You're going to have that happen a lot as you make this transition into a new genre, given how a lot of your og fans became fans in the first place. Handle it graciously, don't get defensive, or better yet, don't comment back at all.
New song is alright. I might be biased a little because atreyu is just kinda meh for me. I stick around because I think you're vastly talented with incredible potential, you're just finding yourself at the moment. I look forward to you finding whatever genre you feel most passionate in.

@Ryon Elve to say you don't like his new stuff is one thing, but to tell a man to move on is some weak ass energy and it's a damn shame that someone who's heard the brilliance in his rap prowess couldn't show a pure and true musician some respect. He knows he can dominate with his flows-he doesn't have to prove it. I, for one (and there are many, trust) am elated that he's innovating the metal scene. That genre needed some fresh style (I'm an OG metalhead, trust me) and some real people to fuel the music that burns within us Headbangers. Don't hate just cause you can't appreciate....it doesn't look good on anyone.

My point was, for someone who isn't into rock of any type or genre (which is what it seems like the OG commenter was) it gives a song less value if the backing track is full on rock vs anything else. Hence me saying that the song has less enticement for someone who got into you when you were doing strictly rap/trap style beats.

I'm just letting you know that there's going to be a base contingent of your fans that got into you as rap/hiphop fans that just aren't going to be here for your rock shit no matter how hard you hit it. Therefore, that's why I say don't bother getting defensive about it, you can't make someone who despises rock be into rock.
As I mentioned previously, I'm a fan and will continue to be so as I think you have incredible potential, you're just on a journey to find where you're most passionate. This joint wasn't it for me, but, as I mentioned, that's mostly due to the inclusion of atreyu. I'm sure they're dope humans, they're just kinda meh as a band for me.
