25:38 Could you flip stuff over so we can see the bottom. Those could have been Limoges France or Bavaria (Southern Germany). The 'Hair Receiver' is great for Q-tips. Happy Hunting.
@@lifeoflonny I love watching the Lavender clothesline lady and her Husband. They live in Eastern Pennsylvania they have a ton of stuff to pick from and the prices are OK
The prices in this area are very high. A lot of that stuff will end up at Buy the Pound or Goodwill Outlet (the bins). I really like your thrifting adventures. Keep up the good work. Maybe I'll see you in the thrift!
I'm so happy you like the adventures! The prices do seem high for our area, I just don't get it. I have never been to the bins, but I'm going to go. Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. If you see me out in the stores, please say hi! 😊
I’m finding that the Midwest is not so good with pricing. I watch a lot of videos and a lot of places in the USA have better prices more stuff and better items to pick from.
When i lived in Illinois,,,, i shopped savers and thought they were high then , ten yrs ago. Now in indiana ,, theres no savers. The tupperware cannister set. Yep. I just sold a set on ebay for 33
@Kathywelch-xm3rd Prices are ridiculous, and then sometimes it's even damaged...smh. Good question, Kathy. Where is all the good stuff? Thank you so much for watching 🥰
I watch the Crazy Lamp Lady. She does run into some higher priced stuff at the multiple GW's but most of the stuff is cheaper. I think the rapid growth of TH-cam thrifters and reselling put it in their minds to up prices but I think inflation is the main reason. GW has to realize we don't all resell for a profit 🙄 The sewing basket was nice but I would never spend 25.00 $. Most people who go are just trying to save money in this economy. My hubs bought a 6.00 suit coat, had it cleaned and he wore it to church this morning. Thrift is fun and it's about catching a good deal and saving money or flipping for a profit.
I totally agree, Karen. The combination of inflation, online marketplaces, and overall corporate greed is creating the crazy prices. But, I do love to go and see what is out in the thrift stores. Thank you so much for watching!☺️
@@lifeoflonny Another reseller told me that central Kansas prices aren’t as bad. Best of luck to you! You need to make a trip to the Goodwill bins in Bridgeton Missouri in St. Louis County. You take 70 east to 370. It’s not that far from the st.louis airport which is in St. Louis county. You can look it up for directions. It’s a lot bigger than KC bins and a lot nicer. I find good stuff there. They operate a little different than KC. They open at 10:00 and close at 1:00 to rotate the bins and then reopen at 3:00 and close at 7:00. I’m from there and going back this weekend on Friday. If you live around the KC area it will take you 4 hours depending on the speed you go and how many times you stop and for how long. I stopped one time for 15 minutes coming from Independence and it takes me about three hours and 15 minutes. It’s all highway and not a bad drive. There is another one in downtown STL but that’s another 30 minutes away. I’ve haven’t been there, but James who does TH-cam and his channel is “My boring reseller life” lives in St Louis county goes to Bridgeton location also and told me that downtown Goodwill bins there is more vintage.
Thank you so much for the recommendation. I love finding new people to follow here on TH-cam. YT. I'm definitely going to have to do some traveling. I've heard the GW bins in Denver are really good, too. I've not been to KC bins, due to the horror stories lol..I'm scared lol. I have to experience the bins. Can't wait to hear about your finds. Please let me know, I'll be so curious. Safe travels and happy thrifting..☺️
Hi Brenda! Not always. I'm very intentional with my thrifting. I'm not a reseller of hard goods, so I only bring home what I may need. I do resell purses over on the Poshmark app. But, the thrifting is getting tougher and tougher here in my area. Thank you so much for watching ☺️
I 100% believe that resellers are the reason why prices have gone up in the thrift stores they figure they might as well get their share of it
25:38 Could you flip stuff over so we can see the bottom. Those could have been Limoges France or Bavaria (Southern Germany). The 'Hair Receiver' is great for Q-tips. Happy Hunting.
The hair receiver turned Q-tip holder is a great idea, Amber. Yes, I'll try to show bottoms of items in the future. Thank you so much for watching ☺️
28:07 Some of the Vintage Fondue Pots sell very well. Yellow is rare. Happy Hunting.
28:58 Wow, that drip glaze bowl and the pitcher to the right of it are very curious pieces.
I was recently in the same Savers and was astonished at the prices. I was looking for decor predominantly.
You definitely have to hunt for the deals. I always have fun looking..thank you so much for watching ☺️
I agree west coast and east coast better or like North Carolina and Florida.
I would love to take a road trip to thrift.

Yeah, Kathy, I just don't understand the pricing. I feel like they are higher priced than antique stores on some of their items. It's nuts!
I adore your gentle style. So glad I found you. Soft talking is like an ASMR video. #ASMR
You made me smile! Thank you, and thank you so much for watching ☺️
Prices are ridiculous, Lonny! I’m in Wichita- not any better. Where’s all the good stuff they find on the coasts?

@Kathywelch-xm3rd Also, I've been back to Savers 4 times in the last couple of weeks and walked out empty-handed. It's been awful..ugh

Yes. A hair receiver. My mother had a set in the 50s
Kathy, I love that random objects found can evoke memories. Sometimes, this can be the sweetest. Thank you so much for watching ❤️
Lonny do you go to other parts of Kansas to thrift like Wichita, Topeka, Lawrence?
Hi! I've never gone outside my area. But, I may go this summer. That would be fun!☺️
