@@MrTeaust You are a noncombatant if you are medically injured to the point you can no longer continue the fight. There's no definitive measure for this however which is why dead checks are still a thing. It is very difficult to tell during combat whether someone is fully incapable of fighting.

You dont always have time to check if a guy is hiding a pistol or something(For instance clearing houses or trenches) you just triple tap the guy to make sure he never stands up again. Tons of drone shot videos from Ukraine where you see the Ukrainians do this.
@@larsmonsen88 Yup, the only way it'd be classified as a warcrime is if the combat has completely stopped, or the wounded soldier is yelling for help and is showing you they're unarmed. As long as you DO NOT WALK PAST THEM it's not a warcrime. There's nothing preventing you from popping a 'wounded' or incapacitated soldier before you get to them. Multiple people have been killed by enemies pretending to be dead/wounded, no military in their right mind is going to punish soldiers in an active fight for dead checking bodies. As long as they're not detained, walking to you with hands up surrendering, or there is literally zero combat, dead checking is 100% okay, and justified as a necessity to continue the mission with minimal casualties. A small squad does not have the means to render aid/take prisoners.
One thing I hate about Arma reforger milsims is too many "SF" groups and people acting out the _im better than you because I'm Delta force or ranger" schtick, the are rarely or ever any milsims that follows average army grunt work, with generic army gear than the glossy shitty 3rd ranger uniforms,
you... you have played arma 3 right? I'll admit reforger fucked up a few things by releasing too early, but graphics are a vast improvement compared to a3.

If they wanted the game to succeed, they released too early. Dead checks in combat are not a war crime. Killing those who are no longer combatants (surrenders) is.
