  • Decided to change the shock oil out on the rear and see what kind of fluid was in the center differential, turns out it was a lot heavier than I thought.

    Even a expert can’t tell by driving that his center diff already was foreseen with silicon 😂🤣

      @BarstoneRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really didn’t think the center was packed with that heavy of fluid because I was getting so much ballooning in the front wheels. Lol

    I'm surprised it wasn't full of dirt from the track did you hit it with air before you started

    • @BarstoneRC

      I gave it a bath got all the dirt cleaned out before I tear things down I usually like to wash it.

    Thanks for the shout out! Had deja-vu watching this 🤣 My V2 had a leaflet included with manual showing 20mil centre diff. I had to check as manual showed something else.. Looks exactly same as yours lol. Pleasantly surprised! Apparently the ear plugs are slightly stiffer. I have some at the ready. Awesome vid man and love this truck!

      Thanks for watching buddy I appreciate it! But yeah at some point I’ll put the air plugs in it but I figured for now the 20 million pretty close so I would leave it alone.

      @@BarstoneRC exactly that. Thank you Arrma! Was a scary job taking it apart first time. Really cool though.

    Doing maintenance on this looks so much harder than the Rustler 4x4 vxl.

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can get a little complicated and the tools are bigger LOL

      Did you sell your Rustler? Would not blame you. I have spent more than the purchase price of the vehicle on parts and upgrades.

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did sell it I was tired of the overheating issues and it breaking every five minutes

    Great vid bro. I also added droop screws all round as well as changing out shock oil all round. Ive not had any issues with bent shock shaft yet. It doesn't take long to do but feel is worth doing. Dropped a vid on how to do it. May help. Keep up the good work.👍

    Really big parts on this truck. Nice vid buddy. Silicon in the center seems to be too "hard"?

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It feels just like ear plugs. It’s pretty stiff

  • @joshherrman3201

    You will like those m2c shock pistons mine have made a big difference. On that back axle did you have to use heat to pull the grub screw that holds the hex pin on?

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got the M2C pistons put in and took it to the track today and it made a huge difference on that thing man so much better. But no I did not have to use heat to remove that it came right out.

  • @cktennessee2356

    If your shock adjustment does not yield the desired result, maybe look into bladerless shocks. Nice Vid.

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They were a lot better but I just installed the M2C racing pistons valve kit. Hopefully I can take it out tomorrow and test it out. If I don’t like that I will try your suggestion next LOL. Appreciate the info
