    Your idea is great overall. You could trim the 2 buckets with tin snips so it all fits tight against the house. I don't have the same siding issue. I will paint the buckets so they look nicer. Good Job and Thank-you!

    The idea is good use 1/8" threaded rod bend one end to go around the spiget the other end use washer with wing nut.

    You could use foam on the edges so it presses up against the wall better. The store bought ones have a strip of foam so i bet it would work well

    My man you gotta start the project by measuring first 😅 that’s why you ended up with a solution that didn’t fit.

      You could add some foam tape around the edge. But I've been using this for 2 winters now and they have worked well.
