I'm afraid I don't have good news for you. If you've tried all the different methods of connecting that I did in this video and yours is still having exactly the same problem that mine is you'll probably need a new main board and they aren't cheap. I looked around on Ebay to find a damaged Air 2 that I could pull a board from but it seems that everyone else has the same idea. If your Air 2 is under warranty get it sent back straight away. I learned that DJI's policy is that the warranty claim has to be within the warranty period, the date of the malfunction is irrelevant. I was in discussions with DJI support for weeks before I submitted a repair request so when they receieved my drone they said it was out of warranty for almost 6 weeks but it had actually become faulty around the day that the warrant expired.
Just suddenly happened to me. It did turno on with lights on an did not connect to rc and then aircraft lights when off and battery still working . Now it not turn on, no lights and no let me go into pairing or linking mode. How do yo fix it?
Greetings my freind, I had to return mine to DJI for a repair. They wanted to charge me over €250 for the repair but I explained my circumstances and how close to the warranty expiration it was. They offered a discount which I refused, then they offered me a larger discount (which I considered), then they just offered me a completely free repair and my drone was back with me in a couple of days. Good luck with yours.

Hi I have a problem probably the same but my case is the led lights from the aircraft are not showing, there are no lights and i cannot pair it to the controller or in either way. Can you help me with this? Maybe you already got a working solution/s. Please share. Thank you!!!
Hi, If you have tried all of the things that I do in the video then I think you'll need to return your Air 2 to DJI for repair. When I contacted DJI they gave me a list of different methods to try (all of which I demonstrate in the video) and when none of them worked for me the only solution that they could suggest was a repair. I think that they said it was a RF chip that had failed in my case but as your's has slightly different symptoms it may be any number of other things. One idea that I had (when it looked like DJI were not going to help me) was to replace the main board myself. I looked on Ebay for used Air 2 drones that had been crashed or damaged but would still have a working board that I could swap out.
If you've done everything that I did in the video and you still have a bricked drone and if it's still under warranty you need to contact DJI ASAP and get it back to them for repair. If your's isn't under warranty I would advise that you watch my follow-up video regarding how I got mine repaired by DJI. You may be lucky and they will offer you a heavy discount or even a free repair. I think that this is an issue they are fully aware of and they should be offering free repairs to all who suffer this problem. There's a design flaw in the Air 2 that allows this to happen and DJI should take responsibility.
Hmmm, I'm not sure as I don't have the aircraft with me right now - it's with DJI. I downloaded the latest firmware around mid May 2022 so I would imagine it would have been 01.01.07.20. I noticed that they have already superseded this though so I do wonder if there may have been some issues around the previous version??

My phone use android 12. This doesn't work with dji fly app now. I found that hooking up my older phone (that uses android 10) works fine. I updated what I could and flew my mini 2 today. Good luck
It's amazing how often these firmware updates give great "improvements". I have worked with software developers in the past and I know how eager they are to push new versions but without really rigorous testing on all platforms it shouldn't be allowed.
DJI has become such a bad company. Perhaps all of the Costco and Amazon business lowered their quality of manufacturing and care. I just received my second drone replacement and it is a solid brick. Previously, bad sensor, then a bad motor, now this unit will not even connect. Shit service I can't rely on. What happened to DJI?
Im having the same issue! I actually got a connection and while in the air, it completely lost connection at 40-50ft away! After a while, it connected again but kept losing the signal. Did you get your problem fixed?
Hi Alejandro, I don't have a fix yet. I have been talking to DJI for almost 3 weeks now and I have yet to hear anything meaningful at all. I even emailed their CEO but strangely I haven't heard back yet! My Air 2 is still a brick and DJI haven't been particularly helpful. Watch out for my follow up video in the next couple of days where I talk more about the issues I'm having and just how badly I think DJI handled my case.
I am just really frustrated with DJI at the moment. The process of trying to communicate with them is painfully slow. There's also a bit of a language barrier (I guess that DJI's support staff are mostly Chinese??) so although their English is way better than my Chinese I find that there's often uncertainty about what has been said and constantly asking for clarification is tedious. I have been web-chatting with DJI for weeks now and don't seem to have made much headway.
I had the same problem One month ago, Just update the smart controller directly from the computer with a usb a to c cable and boila. Update dron and controller from the pc.
Peculiar isn't it? I thought it must be a hardware fault and DJI said that the main board needed replacing becasue the fault was in the RF chip but I'm still not convinced that the FW update didn't cause something to overload something on the board. It just seems too much of a coincidence that so many people have the same problem after the update.
OK, so the word from DJI is that the firmware update has nothing to do with the failure to connect. In my case they say it was likely down to an abnormality in the RF chip and that is completely unrelated to firmware updates. I'm not an expert so I can only take their word for it. What I do find interesting though is that so many people across the world seem to have had a similar issue after a firmware update, heck, when I filled in the online RMA form one of the reasons for return in the list was (and I may not have this verbatim but it's along the lines of :) "Unresponsive After A Firmware Update", so there's clearly a reasonable proportion of defective DJI products that are as a result of a bad firmware update. I am making another video at the moment to give an update on my progress, it should be out in the next couple of days.
DJI after sales are a real let down they just don’t want to know . You are on your own when problems arise I just try and solve problems by word of mouth on u tube…. Let us know when you hopefully sort the problem out.
I found that persistence is the key. I have been web-chatting with DJI for weeks (on and off) and not really making much headway. I asked to speak with a manager and I was really pleasantly suprised when I received a call within 24 hours. While they weren't prepared to offer a free repair there was mention of a possible discount on the cost of repair or a very favourable part-exchange for a newer product. They are shipping the drone FOC both ways so I have nothing to lose. It's hardly what I would call a win but it's better than I was expecting. I'm sending my Air 2 back today for them to assess so I await their findings. I just hope that they play it straight and don't say it was due to water ingress etc because I know for sure that I have never flown it in the rain.
I agree to some extent. Updating can fix important issues, add new features and potentially improve safety. However, with what I went through I like the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"!
