The TMNT one I got for Christmas. It does have some small issues (the rerecorded TMNT theme which I'm guessing was for legal reasons and some of the music in Turtles in Time sounds a bit off, and the joysticks are actually the ball shape as opposed to the bats we see here) but in the end I'm enjoying the heck out of it. I want to get this one next.
Great game lineup, glad they finally improved the screens they are using on countercades, I'm not a fan of the 2 player panel though - if they offered these with a single player control deck, i would be in.
Ooh this looks really neat. I've been eyeing the 3/4 scale MvC cab for a while but I just can't save up enough for it...this looks like a great alternative though! Since it's got MvC AND Children of the Atom/The Punisher, both of which aren't on the bigger MvC cab for whatever reason. Tho idk just how comfortable it'd really be to play on with that small size...
It doesn't include Children Of The Atom. This cabinet only includes Marvel Super Heroes, The Punisher, X-Men Vs Street Fighter, and MvC. Not that that's a bad a selection of games mind you and if you mod it it'll be even better but just out of the box, not a bad selection.
@Brian Babin the price is above what I am willing to pay for a 1up countercade. I have 3 of the V2 versions. I also have the SF partycade and that is really cramped and hurts your wrist to play. I am more interested in the nba jam machine but hopefully they will go down in price. For that cost you can get a Chinese Pandora’s Box bartop unit with thousands of games.
I don't get why they build a countercade with a screen this small they literally are not saving more than a few bucks. If anything ordering a different batches is likely more pita than using their usual screens.
Personally, at the price they're going for right now (150) I think this is a great price, regardless of whether or not you can play it on the big screen. But personally for me I just really adore the form factor of a mini arcade, some people might not see it the same way.
@@paulink yeah I totally hear you. It honestly looks great and I love the fact that it comes with a pretty good amount of games. My ONLY irk is the screen size. But I do like how sharp the image is regardless. Thanks for the review bro, looks like I'll probably get it too lol
I just tried it and it’s not too bad, though the light up marquee actuall is a little distracting to be honest if you’re playing from a top down view. At eye level on a table it’s fine.
Hi @@paulink , so the right, left, up and down angles views all look the same and good? No colors changing or fade out? The reason I ask because I thinking swapping my Vertical Arcade1up Pac-Man countercade with this one.
@@johnny58435 at 3:46 I do a viewing angle test on video. Personally the viewing angle looks great to me, but I don’t have another countercade to reference so I don’t know what the older ones looked like.
@@johnny58435 That’s great to hear! I just ordered the countercade video converter and wasn’t sure if the gen 2 would be compatible with this new gen, so this gives me hope.
I have not attempted modding yet, but I have opened it up and looked at the internals. looks like the same deal with the 3/4ths cabs, but it is a little tight.
in these arcade machines, pressing player 2 start will allow you to play player 2. In order to play both, you will need to press BOTH player 1 and 2’s start.
at the MSRP of 230, this gets a 7 from me. This cab is very functional, i’ve already beat two games on it but I understand the niche appeal due to it being so small yet a little pricey. If amazon puts it up again for $180, i’d bump my recommendation to a 9.
Fighting Commander OCTA, made by hori, officially licensed xbox one/series x controller. Responding to your second question, I would say your standard fare of xbox and playstation USB controllers work on this device.
Just got one of these for my office. I can’t fit a 3/4 cab in there, so this is perfect
This is a really neat countercade. I love the MVC series & i might pick this up whenever it goes on sale
Goes on sale pretty frequently! I think I saw it as low as $120 at one point. Fairly painless to mod too.
Looks to me that this series of countercades are the best they’ve ever been, options, good screen, controllers etc! I will be getting some!

it would be great if they offered a cheaper variant with single player control panel, with the same usb port for a second player.
Just ordered mines from amazon and I’m hyped.I was wanting to get NBA JAM or MK countercades but this has more variety in its lineup.
Keep us updated on the button change out, great video
I would like a countercade with a 17”
Screen !
they have those, they’re called partycades. QVC currently has an exclusive street fighter one for sale.
“Featuring Moo Emulation”
Yup, Digital Eclipse is behind this one for sure
This means they can also rerelease these titles alongside MvC2

It would be interesting to get a look at the PCBs and see the differences between the two.
Man they should have removed Punisher and put Marvel vs Street Fighter instead. That lineup would have been awesome!
Interesting how this has scanlines while the 3/4 scale one doesn't. 🤔 would be nice if they add it as an update to the full size mvc.
People hate on the newest countercades but I think they look really nice.

I can't figure out which controllers work for this
Nice review. Just wish it was online. Take it on the road with you.
Can iy be modded for a mame machine or a diff bigger display?
Is it worth it
Thanks for this!
You should link the two together for 4 player action.
This should have HDMI out bec screen is too small. I can't enjoy it that small
BRO, THIS IS AMAZING!!!
Do you know if they make a base for the countetcade to make it taller?
Arcade1up the company does not, and AFAIK, I don't think modding companies make them either, these things are just too small.
@paulink Thanks a bunch, your review was great just placed an order!🙂
Can you use more than one controller for the usb port via multihub
Don't think so, unless you mod it.
In your opinion, do you feel the countercade is actually worth it, if you can play the games on your home console on your home TV??

it looks decent ...including the screen
Can u use 2 game 🎮 controllers at the same time?? 🤔

I have one but I can't get it to do 2 player, I pressed the player 2 start button to start the game but it still started a 1 player match
Send help

@@paulink I actually just figured it out after commenting. I should have tried harder before asking. Thank you though
What buttons will fit in this one?
Same button size as the 3/4ths cab, so same replacement applies. In order to add sanwa, you’ll need to drill to make the holes bigger.
I tried putting Happ buttons in my other countercade but there isn’t enough height clearance
Can you play Wi-Fi online with people like the Arcade 1up ?
no, this system has no online capabilities.
So on a scale of 1 to 10? 10 being the highest
