    Everyone use his method and Cheat Sheet it makes sense. Honestly this is the only way that made sense to me after spending hours searching numerous techniques. Thank you soo much for not rushing the process when explaining without all the extra jargon. So relieved now. Great work...

    You rock! I am working on my first networking class and subnetting was giving me a bit of trouble. I spent 16 min of my life watching your video and it made sooooo much more sense than what I spent 2 hours covering out of the book! Thanks! If anyone else I know has any trouble with subnetting from here out I have this link saved and will not hesitate to pass it around.

    I cannot thank you enough for the help this channel has provided me. I have been a hardware tech for over 10 years now and kind of been a little intimidated by the networking scene. I passed my network test exam but it did not cover this portion to the extent I needed. Several network engineers tried to sit me down at work and explain it to me but do not know my math background or lack there of. Thanks to your short video I now understand it very well, online campuses should be calling you left and right... thanks again :D

      how'd it go? how many subnetting questions? how quick are you able to find network, broadcast, range, cidr?

    • @FaithwalkerTodd
      @FaithwalkerTodd  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I suggest you watch all my subnetting playlist, that will teach you class A and class B as well. Then I suggest you do as many practice questions as possible before the exam. Time yourself, and see how much you improve after 50 questions. The answer to your questions depend on you, but as an average, if you practice, you'll be doing them in your head in seconds. The cheat sheet just leads to that over time. You see that a /28 means networks in multiples of 16. That is all explained in my longer class C video. Let me know if I can help.

    • @galacticwyvern9164
      @galacticwyvern9164 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TimeSpace I ended up failing my first time. However, this calculator he has devised works SPLENDEDLY. I received a 100% on the subnetting portion of the exam. I have used his calculator for other exams that have required subnetting and passed each one.
