Update for anyone trying: The off white/red and off white/black wires for the steering wheel controls are more of a brownish color rather than off white. Also, they were not twisted together in my case. I cut the off white/red wire, and it was able to control every single steering wheel control by itself
Hi, what do you mean cut off the off white/ red? You mean the wire cut off from main radio harness? After that, it iþ work all the functions on radio and cd unit?
@@anuraalahakoon8630 I mean I cut it from the back of the main original radio harness yes, then spliced it to the steering wheel control wire from the new head unit. The wire will work for all steering wheel controls
I used your video as a basis for an upgrade of mine. I bypassed the factory amp. Ran leads from the head unit to under the seat, removed the amp, and wired the channels to 4 ohms. The part I am at now is the SWC wires but I cant seem to get the head unit to learn, did you have issues with this? The OE head unit is completely removed.
I’m trying to sort mine out now On the screen Iv only got 4x4 sat nav and setting. But mine comes with dvd and tv headrest and nothing works not even radio station. So got new sat nav update dvd And that work for a bit but was not sure where it was so got new gps but made no difference. Did see about removing the screen and cut the middle wire out and then you get a different setup and everything comes back on the screen. But yours looks different like mine lol. I’m at a loss have to test each wire
Please provide a link to the product or model number. Did you have to get any aftermarket harness from Crutchfield, etc. or did it come with everything needed? Do you have a backup cam?
Hello. My friend. I am a Chinese Android car navigation screen and air conditioning screen manufacturer. Do you need a Range Rover Sport screen? Can you contact me?🙂
Nice video. What's the reason for replacing the navigation screen instead of replacing the original radio unit? Could this be installed where the original radio unit is?
I wanted this to look stock so nobody is tempted to try and steal the radio. I prefer stock appearance in my vehicles after getting broken into on past cars I've had
Also, the factory navigation computer is in the head unit - removing the head unit you cannot see 4wd info / navigation or set the time any more. It just has Land Rover logo on it. I had one installed in car I bought - lucky old owner had original head unit - have reinstalled and have installed nav tool instead that actually uses factory screen for car play
Sounds pretty good! I had to leave the Equalizer in Standard mode so it doesn't distort. I also have Logic7 turned off. At 35, the volume is probably 50-75% louder than Factory
That original radio looks so outdated I’m going to make a video soon how to change a few things to update the interior of the 2006/2009 rovers sport think that radio looks from the 90s can’t stand it …

Hello I bought a 13 inches one and I made a adapter with 3 d printer and leather but from from i should get the VCC and GND from
Hi, please tell me, do you still can see the height sensors 4x4 info?
Thanks!
Didnt understood how did you got sound by selecting AUX. Can you explain please?
Hi. Great video thank you. What wire from the atoto harness you tap
On the cigarette lighter? Thank you
What’s connected to aux ? The music should play through wireless CarPlay?
hi, did you need any special adapters, or just with the included
Everything I used is in the video. There's no RR to Atoto wiring harness for this install since it uses the AUX port

How did you remove the ATOTO logo from the unit? Thanks!
I used Nail Polish remover BUT it melted the plastic... It looks OK but not great so I didn't want to recommend it
Would love you to do this to mine !!
Did you have to get any harnesses or adapter?
Included with Atoto A6 from eBay

how do you plan to redesign, i also want to do it but there are no aftermarket options.
Fix your dashboard, it looks shocking.
If its not broken don't fix it.
