  • Fiona and James are looking to swap their busy lives in London for a quiet cottage in Surrey to be closer to Fiona’s horse. They want a 2-bed cottage, close to a station for the work commute, close to the house, great countryside view, all for $200,000. Can Kirstie and Phil help the couple relocate? Or will they be stuck in London for good?

Kirstie and Phil are soooo young in these old episodes; they still have their baby faces! Thanks for the upload.

Great training tool of the retaining wall. Halarious busting into the bathroom and someone on the toilet reading a paper. 😂😂😂😂😂

Wow! All that time wasted, all that work - and in the end, no deal...one needs to remember when paying agents' commissions, that this factors into the amount one is paying them. Also, I don't understand the terms of one's being able to actually take possession of a property. The vendors should move out - whether to a hotel or a rental flat or whatever - if/when the time is up for their having to vacate! A contract is a contract!

I agree. You’d think possession dates would be in the contract.

Wow in New York, all deals are basically sealed bids. We don't tell other agents what bids they are competing with.

This UK system is bizarre. If a buyer reneges on a sale, I suspect he loses his deposit. If a seller does the same, no consequences..?

@@giuseppenero110 In NY, all parties can back out until contracts are signed or the home doesn't appraise out. If after contract, buyer looses deposit if they backed out. If Seller, they will usually reimburse the buyer their inspection and appraisal fees.

Same here in Canada, not only are you not allowed to know the other offers, but the real estate agent can't suggest what you should bid.

For two not-so-young first time buyers, they seem very immature. I wouldn't be surprised if someone still ties their shoelaces for them.

I can't imagine having an offer accepted on a house and money to buy it, then months later to be told that the owner decided not to move. That's not how it works in the US.

A countryside closet...sorry cottage is great for one person, but a disaster if you keep walking over the top of your partner.
Why is it that cottages seem to be built right up against the road? Is it because the roads weren't built when the house was built next to a cart track?
