- Use Excel to generate a Simple Regression Equation and to add a line of best fit to compare two sets of data. Excel also gives you an R-squared value to show how strong the correlation is between the two sets of data.
this channel is a pure gem. Not all hero wear cap. The explanation is short, simple and easy to understand. thank you very much
Thank for taking the time to explain excel in an easy and friendly manner. If it weren't for these videos I wouldn't be able to pass some of my classes!
Thank you very much! I actually learned to do this in my labs, but never knew it was called Simple Linear Regression. It took me having to watch this video during my graduate education to learn what this was!
How Quaint-- we need more teachers like you! :)
Thanks so much! This video helped me IN 2023!!!
Great to hear!
Thank you so much! You saved me a lot of time doing my homework the long way.
I thought the same!!! lifesaverrr
My hero! Thank you so much! I have no idea how to use excel and have a huge project due. If I had found this earlier a lot of stress could have been saved!
Simple and concise teaching. Your video was a great help. Thank you very much.
Thank you, Dr! I really need this for my Language Testing and Assessment class! Thanks for the crystal clear and detailed explanation. I really appreciate it.
Thank you very much for this video! A perfect refresher for one who learned this in school and now needs it in real life. Thank you!
Thank you Professor O'Loughlin this video was very useful to me. I will share this video with my friends so they could learn from you too. Cheers.

Eugene, thank you for sharing this great video. It was very helpful. Although, my fiance and I are in tears from laughing because your voice keeps starting out extremely strong, then fading into a mumble. On like every line. I'm sorry, but this is sooo funny!!!
;-))
Thanks brother, you have helped me too much..peace be upon you..
Very useful. Many thanks for spreading the knowledge.
thanks for this! I need to learn regression for my finance class. appreciate it.
Excellent tutorial! Very concise.
Fantastic explanation! They can so much for posting this as I am currently going through statistical math and this makes my courses a whole lot easier to work with. My math book has a extremely old version of Excel, which makes understanding the instructions incredibly difficult.
This helped me so much, thank you again!
Very cleat presentation - not a wasted word.
This was a very helpful video. Thank you for posting this video; I really appreciate it. Solving by hand takes quite some time :( .
Thank you so much helped me in 2021 ❤️
Thank you so much! This video was a life saver
That was so concise and informative. Thank you!
How can I explain this equation" y= 5.11 ln(x) -15.51 "
very helpful. excel is more clear to me now
I do not think it is good to adjust the figure without the left part, since the intercept of actual regression line is negative. Student will be confused, if you only show the part of trend line in you video and intercept appears positive for them.
Thanks Professor , you helped me get my assignment completed 🤣🤣🤣
Thankyou for the information
Very helpful Thank you...
Awesome...thank you so much.
There is a built-in feature.
Awesome video! Thank You :-)
Good video, but I wish you had dome some prediction EXAMPLES.
Oh man Thanks so much!
it would be nice if you slow down, had to pause this video 100x's but thanks for the help.
Very helpful.
and there is also a mistake in the linear equation, which should be y=bx+a, a is the intercept, and b is the slope coefficient. You can not use -a instead of a.
Thank you!
very usefulll.... tutorial! tha
nk u.
thx now i can work on this project, its funny because i can do all of this on my ti-84 and when it comes to excel i'm lost XD
You're important.
