Mahindra is literally Indian copy of Jeep, and seeing how Jeep failed to provide sedans , i don't think Mahindra can give us one. (remember failed Verito sedan).
In a Q&A with Pratap Bose, Head Designer, previously at Tata and now Mahindra, is of the opinion that the market has evolved to preferring SUVs to Sedans and manufacturers should as well.

since I own the new xuv 700 ax7 pet AT , I wanted to make one correction in your video . To go into the third row seats you don’t need to reach back to pull the lever , that is for the third seat passengers to get down . To get in the lever below which is used to recline adjustment should be pulled and held while simultaneously lifting the seat as soon as the back falls down and you can roll it over . It’s a bit of a hassle at first , but it’ works just fine once your familiar with it . Thank you
Yes, and the adjustment issue is for 3rd row ppl who would need to use the lever on the back of their seats to make slight tilts

I am sure there are many people who'd like to buy this as a 5 seater car (as 7 seater is actually not very practical), but the issue is the best they can get is AX5 trim in 5 seater which is not value for money at all, plus it misses out on almost everything (right from ADAS to even rear parking camera!!). They should released AX7 trim for 5 seater version as well. AX5 doesn't even have cruise control, rear parking camera and electrically foldable ORVMs.

The design language is definitely hit or miss for many. For me it's a miss not an class look exteriors... Xuv 500 is also a mass look than a class feel. On the other hand scorpio road presence is good.
But Mahindra nailed it with pricing this time.. Interior console of this 700 is excellent.
Personally i love xuv 300 looks more.. its road presence at night is 🔥🔥
