Hi there! Thank you for the video! Quick question... Should you put on a clear matte sealer over the spray paint before you begin mod podge or epoxy? 😊
Been watching all of your videos love them ! Could you do a video on how you clean out your tumbler after you’ve completed it, for example to to clean out the spray paint if you gets some inside your cup and /or if you get epoxy inside the cup thanks !
I have a question that probably sounds really silly, but, I've noticed that spray paints have lead in them, when you seal the cup with the epoxy and given that it is on the outside of the cup is the lead based paint no longer a concern?
Great video as usual! But I do have one question. I don't think I heard you mention if you had to use sand paper first. I enjoy your tips and your willingness to help others. TFS!!!!
Anita Lau, I have done a lot of wood grain white ceramic mugs and you do not have to paint them at all. What I do, is run a lite coat of the lightest color you will be using all around the cup. Once you have it the color you want it, then start adding the darker colors you are using and just follow the same steps as you would I regular stainless steel cup. Be sure to spray it with a clear coat when complete, and epoxy as normal. If you want me to send you some pics of the cups I’ve done, message me on FB and I’ll send you some pics. They turn out really nice.
I am just finishing a great easy to follow woodgrain tutorial. I am going to publish it as soon as I finish editing it! I have a basics Titans an advanced tutorial. They will launch one after the other! So subscribe and click the bell!
I cleaned mine first then sprayed it and it made like some little bubble marks. Will that be ok for wood grain or can I just put my vinyl in that spot?
Michelle I know it’s been a month, but you never know- Take a q-tip and some acetone to the inside. Or paint thinner. It’s going to be a must have especially if you ever need to “strip” a cup down to the nitty gritty.
Newbie here! Thank you for sharing your tricks, much appreciated! beautiful color. Where do you find that shape of a cup, seems like that shape is easier to hold?
Hello, if I may ask, after you've spray painted it, will you be able to wash it? put in the dish washer? Like, I think I've seen some people, after they power coat, have to have an oven to heat the cups, do you have to do that after you've finished spray painting?
this is spray paint so you would not be able to wash it without the paint coming off eventually. You also can not bake spray paint. When you seal it in with epoxy you can then wash it but it can not go into the dishwasher
Kaley Davis I watched that one too. Loved ...just that on this particular video. Didn’t see or hear her say if she did (although I knowww she said before she always prep) sorry for the silly question...😂😂I’m procrastinating I think .. thanks for responding
Lo Go I think you’re speaking of powder coating, spray paint you don’t bake. Spray paint needs to be sealed in with epoxy. Check out my channel, I show how to do this in my other tutorials
wipe the paint off with 91% alcohol or 100% acetone and repaint it. If you try to spot fix it you will always see where the drip was, you need a smooth surface
MrsQueknight Williams mine has bubbles coming out of the crack. But, I did it right after I washed my cup, so I think some water may have been in the crack and seeped out
Thank you for all of your beginner videos you are awesome love them❤️
LittleLee and Rose I 💙 your videos!!! Thank you for sharing. 👏🙌
I love all your tutorials...
Thank You for sharing your knowledge! Newbie here ! Addicted to watching ... thought I’d try it

You are the only one that has made sense to me when it comes to this. Thank you. Quick question, did you sand it first?
yes, see here youtube video on how to prep a cup and it will show you step by step

Can you spray a regular coffee mug with white paint and do a wood grain design?

Which clear coat do you suggest?
I cleaned mine first then sprayed it and it made like some little bubble marks. Will that be ok for wood grain or can I just put my vinyl in that spot?
same here. I cleaned it with alcohol at least 5 times.
I spray painted mine but got spray paint on the inside of the cup..can you clean that up, or am I screwed? Thanks for all your tutorials

I would like to see how you finish the coral color paint cup? Ty
Sheila Linn I am actually taping the rest right now!! It will be a few days before it is complete but keep an eye out
Newbie here! Thank you for sharing your tricks, much appreciated! beautiful color. Where do you find that shape of a cup, seems like that shape is easier to hold?
Yolanda Garcia if you click the drop down menu I added a link to order:) I also put what shape it is for ease in searching
Yolanda Garcia Modern Curve Hogg
LittleLee and Rose Thank you so much for the link and cup name.
I just sprayed and I noticed spray pain inside my cup near the top. Can this be cleaned off? Or do I need to toss the whole cup ?
Try some Acetone on a rag, that might save you from throwing it away.
Imso Pha'Rill that worked perfectly

Sorry in advance if asked before... before spray painting do you “prep”;? Sand etc the cups?
Veronda Britten yeah! She has a cup prep video too!

where you bought it?
How many cups would you say you get out of 1 can. They are really expensive here in the uk
I have never actually counted but I am going to guess 10ish (give or take)
Can brushed on acrylic paint be used instead of spray paint?
celita1010 yes you can but it leaves brush strokes so you would definitely want to glitter over it to hind that
Do you ever do matte spray paint?
Lo Go yes very frequently. As often as possible but most of the super fun colors don’t come in matte😭
@@LittleLeeandRose I agree. My concern is how to seal the matte spray paint. I know to bake them but is that enough?

I can never get mine smooth like this! Mine had bubbles coming out of it at the top when i spray
MrsQueknight Williams mine has bubbles coming out of the crack. But, I did it right after I washed my cup, so I think some water may have been in the crack and seeped out
be sure not to spray too close to the cup
♥️♥️♥️
Could you show the finished product like inside next time? It was a bit hard to see with the light/shadows/reflection off the cup. Ty for showing us!
does anybody know how to get rid of the paint smell after painting it?
you have to make sure your room is properly ventilated and the cup has had time to fully dry
Thanks for doing this. I've not had too many problems with drips just the paint not drying and can't figure out why it was the only one that didn't
Robin Hanff did you use acetone to clean it?
@@LittleLeeandRose I used alcohol
Robin Hanff That will probably forever be a mystery... I have no clue! That’s weird
Could u please show how to make a tumblr without a turner
