Tartaros arc broke me. Aquarius's sacrifice, Laxus fighting at near death, Silver and Igneel's deaths and just the overall dark tone of it. Easily one of the best arcs in Fairy Tail.
honestly the best arc in fairytail. Just so much emotions watching it, made me cry so many times. People actually died/almost died/had something taken from them. It was just beautiful, and it had so many moments that their lives was on the line and they had a clear goal on what to do. Just no arc can compare!! I also like the grand magic games arc, especially Erza vs 100 monsters

Honestly, my favorite arcs are Tartaros (How can I NOT have that arc?), Phantom Lord, Tower of Heaven, Battle of Fairy Tail, Edolas, Grand Magic Games, and Alvarez Empire. Now I know some don’t like the arcs I mentioned and that’s ok! I just love this anime with all my heart
The three ops i came to, after fairy tail ended: Opening 1: Snow Fairy Opening 15: Masayume Chasing Opening 21: Believe In Myself Edit: There are alot of openings of fairy tail that are good, but nothing beats the nostalgia in these 3.
This opening is easily my favorite. Song is catchy. The visuals are perfect. The way Natsu and Gray parallel each other is beautiful. Their storylines were my favorite in this arc. Also the opening hits me right in the shipping feelings. Gruvia and Nalu forever.
0:290:38 I like the parallels between natsu and gray’s important people. Lucy is the first person natsu thinks of while juvia is the last person gray thinks of. In my opinion this hints at the fact that Lucy has become an even more important person in natsu’s life, even more so than zeref and igneel while gray is only just realising that juvia is important to him.
But Zeref was never that important to nasu even if he figured out their bond because natsu don't care why he did what he did but only that he hurt his family guild My poor zeref but madness is madness 😢

I'd forgotten just how intense the Tartaros arc was. The world could have ended then and there. The layers of story that'd been built over time were becoming something tangible, and tension and intrigue were at their peak. Face couldn't be stopped, END would be released, and every fight and episode was a gripping thing. No time quite like it, except perhaps the final season.
This whole arc is what made fairy tail FAIRY TAIL, even tho there were really good arcs like grand magic games and tenrou island, this is my favourite arc and i remember watching it as a kid and i feel so nostalgic just thinking about it. The depth and growth of not just natsu and gray, but the other characters in this arc were great and the power ups through loss and despair were amazing. Hands down the best action packed and storytelling arc in the whole show and the best in general.

Fairy tail is a good show. But do you even know why people hate it? The Alvarez arc was severely rushed. To the point where the cast was too op against the supposed toughest opponents they’ve ever faced. And natsu uses rainbows to defeat an immortal dragon.

Fairy tail is a bad show for multiply reasons besides just a signal bad arc its suffers from horrible or no character development at all I think the female characters serve little to no purpose and are only there for eye candy. A perfect example being Levi she had an interesting build-up but it ultimately fails. the example of this was when gajeel was introduced he basically crucifies her and her 2 close friends and what does she do? she falls in love with him. If it sounds like I'm leaving context out I'm not there is no reason for this she just falls for him it's really bad. Then there erza scarlet herself who a lot of people consider one of the flagship girls she is arguably one of if not the worst girl in the show if not anime with a few exceptions. Let me explain there are multiply times ware erza ether was not supposed to win a fight and does cough cough the fight against Azuma. The other being the fight agast her mother's ware with broken arms slices a meteor in half. And of course, the ending but if you've read this far and you're interested in having a discussion/debate about fairytale hit me with a response to this comment and we can talk on discord or something.

@@luifromthevillage222 and I agree Ezra is about heavy on the plot armor. But apparently the author didn’t want to have many deaths in fairy tail bc of his last work. Bc ngl she should’ve died against kyoka if not Azuma. And then she’s weak as fuck against Ajeel. Which would make sense if we go with the fact that the Alvarez empire was the toughest opponent yet. But then she easily beats her own mother and august is defeated by seeing mavis ffs. Fairy tail isn’t bad. But it’s not good either. It’s a perfectly average anime.
I remember watching this when I was 15 because this show was airing on Animax Channel and it was a week for my mid exam studies and I can't help to watch it even though I don't understand the lore because I didn't watch the first season🤣🤣(silly me for lefting fairy tail for so long)but this anime for some reason pops out to my mind and it's just can't help it man especially Fairy Tail Zero
