    I think the Flexilla hoses are Silicone based I’m a retired Professional Woodworker and these new generation hoses are Awesome ! Just a few years ago I had to clean out my fathers old Workshop and he had a bunch of old Rubber Airhoses My Buddies laughed at me because I just tossed them in the Dumpster without checking for leaks Or imperfections I did however cut off all the Brass ends and put them in a to keep pile to reuse I buy the Flexilla brand hoses in bulk and make up my preferred lengths now and I’m not going to hassle with dragging the old Rubber lines like I used to years ago those things were a pain in the backside and today’s technology is way better I’ve discarded all my own personal stiff Rubber Air hoses for Woodworking although I do still use a Goodyear Rubber Whip hose in my shop I use mainly for Auto and Boat restoration Which work okay if they are newer and don’t mind the oils and greasy products

      I totally agree with everything you said. These hoses are just amazing. Have you tried the water hoses and the pressure washer hoses made by Flexilla?

    What kind of application for a 1/4" hose? Especially one that long. I'd never go below 1/2". Thanks!

      Air Nailer for building house or putting roof on.

      @AlessioSangalli 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh OK nailers do not need too much flow, so 1/4" works well. And a lighter hose allows to go up on the roof with less trouble. I tend to use tools that require flow like air spades and similar and a 100ft 1/4" would harm their performance. Thanks!

      I use one when I clean my car just to kind of blow it out and get the dust off

      U can do alot with 1/4 surprisingly but I prefer 3/8 never tried 1/2 that’s serious power, I’m just a peasant carpenter nailer guns air grinder smaller tools. 1/2 can probably run one of those jack hammers that everyone hates working next to the disrespect is outrageous when you see that jerk setting up next to u . I don’t get mad tho I just start working faster so I can leave the area asap

    I’m finally joining the flex gang just ordered it from jeff bezos. I have tried harbor freight’s pvc, hybrid and this crazy double hybrid with a nylon sleeve n a dewalt hybrid and a random no brand polyurethane hose. They are all good ya know the hybrid is usually my favorite type easy to work with and roll out roll up. My bitch ass rival coworker got a flexzilla so I had to slice it when he wasn’t around but when I was holding it I was like dam this is the finest hose I have ever held I bet it works great. Anyways they are onsale now $20 for a 50ft 1/4 on Amazon that pretty good I usual see it for $30 give or take I love 3/8 hoses but $20 psh forget what I prefer I can’t pass it up that’s a deal

    The fittings are anodized aluminum, not plastic. Least they should be, if they are plastic, definitely didn’t come from a certified flex sills shop, imo.

      Good Catch. I went out to my shop and checked, sure enough you are correct. they are metal. I guess I just assumed they were plastic because they were black in color. Wow good call. That makes me feel better knowing they are metal. Thanks for Posting your comment I hope it will help others it sure helped me. Thanks for Watching and updating my video!!!!

      @@JustADad Sure, no problem. Reason I knew that.... I thought the same, first time I bought mine, and was very hesitant about flexzilla having “plastic” ends.... But CS ensure me they were aluminum. Myself, I like brass, but hey; rather have aircraft aluminum than plastic, right😉
      Did enjoy your video, thx again. ✌🏻

    Amazon has become a haven for financial abuse. The price of most of these products are double to triple what they are at your local provider. Tools and fittings and hoses have all been cheaper at an actual store. These are good hoses

    I’ve used flexilla and they are ok but the new design sucks. The old style had a compression nut. They are crimped together now with a barb fitting that’s too loose for the hose being used. I had a brand new one blow the barb fitting out twice. You can pop it back in and pull the barb right out by hand and you should not be able to do that at all.
    I’ve used another brand that was impossible to pull back out by hand. The weak crimp was also faulty not keeping it locked on hose as well. You can see where it the crimp is inconsistent in the diameter. Absolute junk now.
