Something my neighbor used for deer hunting on public property where you can't build stands and don't want to leave a climber was an extension ladder and a long piece of all thd and two bicycle wheels, the larger wheels go over logs etc better than smaller ones. So you can use it to haul the deer out, but also lean the ladder up and put a seat at the top so you have a stand.
That's awesome! I love it when people figure out unconventional solutions using readily-available components. I probably will eventually upgrade to bike wheels just to make it easier going over rough ground, but for now this setup will have to do. The lawnmower wheels were just sitting there collecting dust, and the lag bolt "axles" were dead simple to assemble.
