Don’t be afraid to post all your projects. Automotive related or not. People will watch. Although I’d imagine it just takes too much time to film and edit when your trying to get your home and shop finished before winter hit.

Just want to say thank you for all the 4.7 videos. So much good information, and direction. Very much appreciated. It made so much work almost like I had done it before, or been there for it. If you would like to see some of the good your information has done check out the Dak videos I put on youtube, there's also stump grinder stuff you won't care about. I did check out your channel and also the stump grinding stuff that you've done, matter of fact I had just cut down 4 Italian cypresses that were way too close to the airplane hangar now I need to remove the stumps it'll be kind of hard getting a stump grinder in there their, stumps are within 10" of the building.
@@martinbuilt Hey thanks for having a look! Wish I were closer or I’d come help you out. I’m in western MA and I know your down near the desert there somewhere. 10” from the building should be no issue at all if there is enough room on the backside for a machine. A good grinder can usually get within a few inches or less of a building, fence, ect, and still be able to protect it. If you only have a few feet from another building, property, or something else a traditional small to mid sized machine can’t be on you may need to hire someone with a handlebar machine, or even what is called an alpine type machine. The alpine type machine is actually driven by a large chainsaw and can get in just about anywhere. The handlebar and alpine type machines are just much much slower. Good luck sir!
lol that speech bubble... Filming takes time, editing takes time. For someone like you who doesn't have a fully staffed sound, film and post-production crew it keeps the old "shade tree mechanic" vibe true to form. Also, your time Managment into your stuff rather than fussing with posting.
Truest statement here. I don’t go all on out with editing because it takes some crazy amount of time. Can take hours and hours to edit a video. For mine I’ll put like 15mins of editing… it shows. 😅

Just a helpful hint, because you've given us so many; When securing your attic floor use screws. That way you can regain excess under the attic floor easier. Smaller sheets of also make it even easier. Saves a lot of time for upgrades. I know you like upgrades. Great to see you back. Still working on my "RUSTY NUT" Jeep.

Hey Martin, it's good to see you doing so well. I found you when I owned a Cherokee, and had overheating issues. Even though I have an 04 Tahoe now, your videos are still helpful. You are my second favorite diy TH-camr, next to ETCG. (Who's MIA)
Eric was dealing with having to move shops. Some crazy BS came over with him, from the new owners to the shop he was temporarily acquiring and I’m gonna guess he’s dealing with all that right now and isn’t able to put out much content.

Hey Martin… I just purchased an 02 Cherokee 4.7 H0. Jeep was sitting for 2-3 years I have changed all the fluids but I was wondering if I should run a fuel cleaner through it. Is that something I should do on a Cherokee or do you recommend using any additives?
If it's been sitting that long I would definitely use something. I personally like denatured alcohol you can pick it up at home depot or Lowe's and add let's say at least 10 oz to a tank if gas and that will help remove any gum or varnish from the fuel system.
Martin… I have another question please. I have a 2002 4.7 HO - Owners manual says do not use transmission fluid for the power steering. People say use 5931 power steering fluid instead. Dealer just told me Chrysler says use ATF Plus 4 Transmission- fluid not power steering… What fluid should I use?
I would never use any type of transmission fluid in a power steering system. This product from red line that I have a link for is what I would recommend. And is what I used on my hydraulic cooling fan.

I ordered the Valvoline 5931 spec Chrysler, Ford, GM power steering fluid some of the forums said it’s good to use. I still might return it and buy the Redline instead. The Valvoline stuff should be ok though right?

No I haven't I did on one SAAB way back in the late eighties.
