- The UTMB may be the Superbowl of ultra running. It draws large immense crowds and can be compared to the Boston Marathon for its international acclaim. The UTMB or the Ultra Trail de Mont Blanc takes place every year in August in Chamonix, in the French Alps.
Over the last 15 years, this has been the hallmark race where the best athletes from around the world show up to test themselves against not only each other but the demands of the course. Unfortunately, over the years, American men have not been able to perform to their potential. Could this year be a turning point in all of this? Will Jim be the first American Male to win Ultra Trail Mont Blanc?

the most insane part of this entire vid is his beer flex with heady topper and bearded iris
still remember jim's first signing up for WSER.. he said no lights and packs..
now here in this video, he started to acclimate with the packs, lights, poles, layers and jackets..
to all jim's fans, yes, you all could be pumped up for this...
Jim said he didn't need a light because he was going to finish before dark. He was playing with his competitors bragging how fast he is going to run.

This is just fab. I watched it after the horrifically slick Salomon training camp video and this gets everything right that that gets wrong, notably focusing on the mundane, human moments

It's crazy to see how badly Jim wants to win the UTMB. He was willing to relocate to France to acclimate to elements, that's how much winning that race means to him. Hope he gets it this time

Hi, does the sole of the shoe has some kind of holes, channels where potencial water can escape? or the sole is solid, without channels and can use in wet surface to keep my socks dry :)
