Like “oh is that a day date?” “You got a royal oak?” If it’s a rolex oyster, gmt or submariner, or anything equally famous and recognizable, or it just looks somewhat similar, people will ask if it’s that thing and that’s it. Not because they care about watches but bc they wanna know if you are someone worth talking to for your deep pockets. Wearing rolex and similar all time classics you instantly recognize is a subtle flex practiced in business environments like semi formal gatherings or functions like conferences etc, wherever there’s a chance to meet someone you didn’t know personally yet but you’d like to do business with. Depending on whether it’s sales and marketing or real estate or investment community, the models will vary in their flashiness, with sales and marketing being the tackiest flashiest and the investment and similarly high earners being more subtle and less colorful

Ha! I made a watchface for my Galaxy Watch that was 3 koi fish swimming around in a pond. Their noses are even with the current time. The largest fish on the outside was the hour, the medium fish was minute, and the tiny inside fish that occasionally hid under some lily pads was the second hand. Took a bit to get adjusted to, but it was really fun to show off. The app I made it on doesn't work any more. Gotta sit down and rebuild it through Galaxy
