Jordan Love was at practice, and he’s participating in all meetings and other team activities during training camp, but he’s eliminating any injury risk by not practicing until his new contract is completed. Brian Gutekunst indicated that the finish line on the new deal is in sight, but whether it’ll take 1 day or several isn’t known. Earlier in the offseason, Brian Gutekunst expressed hope that everything would taken care of before the start of training camp. The reasons it didn’t weren’t specified. Jordan Love participated in the entire voluntary offseason program, including QTA’s, along with the mandatory minicamp while negotiations were ongoing. In the meantime, our 2nd-year pro backup quarterback Sean Clifford and our 7th-round 3rd string quarterback Michael Pratt will take all of the quarterback reps during practices. Sean Clifford ran the #1 offense in the opening workout and plans to make the most of the 1st-team reps. Jordan Love is still actively participating in team meetings and will even be present at practice, however, he won’t be running any drills. That’s essentially a formality for Jordan Love, he’s still doing his part off of the field, but he isn’t putting his body at risk without a deal being secured. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

Aj looks good this year. He lost a lot of weight and looks explosive. Plus he’s the only one in that RB room who knows the playbook.
First, Dillon, not Dillion. You should get the name right. Second, Dillon is a quality player and human being. You can't count on the latter, but with him it's there... he's always prepared, he takes and delivers the goods -- when the ball is given to him, you know there will be hell to pay. That's a quality player and person. Every team should have a guy like him. And... he has apparently slimmed a bit (can he have a lower body fat percentage), and that shows commitment and integrity. I think he's a credit to the team, and from what I've heard, players respect him. That is big, in this era of egos and social media mavens. He's a smart, hard-working guy, and I suspect he will find another gear this season. A lot of NFL running backs in history have lost some weight and turned the corner... good luck to him. And... buckle your chinstrap, because he will punch you in the mouth.
