There is another way to do it and still shoot the BB's very easy. First off there is one of the rc tank companies that has a Nipple that you can attach the hose too. Or you can drill a small hole in the gun barrel and add a nipple your self. I have made all of my 8 RC henlong tanks to have smoke after shooting and the BB makes it look Very realistic. But I don't know why they don't just add this feature anyways to all of them. I pay will extra money . I love upgrading my rc tanks..

I've noticed the M1A2 Abrams 1/16 scale figurine (TC) tank commander is looking over his left shoulder, are there any 1/16th scale TC's looking forward?. Its is awkward to have a TC looking to his left while his tank is moving forward or shooting. In addition, there is supposed to be a loader manning the 30cal. The smoker is great, but there is no (LED ) flash. Other upgrade's should be the grinding sound of the track's. As a veteran of the 3/3 ACR we like seen our tanks as realistic as possible, not as toys. Thx for the vid
Couldn't agree more. The Tank Commander figures leave a lot to be desired. But having seen some of the amazing custom work customers have done with these tanks, definately proves that a great level of realism and scale detail can be achieved with some work.

There is an LED system available to flash when the cannon fires.

What I want to do now is to integrate the smoke with the bb in a way where the air generated by the hopper pushing the bb is mixed with smoke. That would be super cool. Me and my friends have already developed a piezoelectric butane cannon for a Mato 1:16 full metal Panther. Only problem is it just keep on breaking the gun mount between the barrel and the combustion chamber after 6-8 shots due to explosive recoil. I would’ve liked to add a recoil rail but there’s just no room for it to really work properly. Maybe on a 1/8 Tiger but then again you can just install a blank firing .50 cal on that beast.
Agreed, having the plunger "shoot" out the smoke would be great, rather than just relying on the tiny motor to push the smoke through the cannon.
If you use a full metal turret and cannon barrell, could it work reliably?
Was wondering, would ti be a good idea to try to fit a mechanism for firing blanks inside the turret of a metal 1/16 Leopard 2?
I suppose that a metal barrel could withstand the shock of shooting 6mm blanks, right?
@@alcosound it’ll probably work if it’s a half or quarter load blank stub and as long as the barrel you’re using is made out of gun barrel steel. It’s always the recoil I’m worried about considering most 1/16 RC tanks are made of plastic.
@@alcosound any explosion in a confined space like the inside of an RC tank barrel is highly likely to do some damage. If not wreck the system altogether. Metal barrel or not. The barrels of an air pistol and mechanism are made of hardened steel. Same as a regular gun. Otherwise the barrel would just shatter or split. Plastic as a whole isn't really much use as a material for making guns with. Even if it's for just firing blanks. Admittedly I'm not an expert in this and it would be interesting to see how others have managed it. As some have managed to do this. Anyway good luck with your quest.
Trying to figure a way to combine it with shooting bbs , mega steam got a gunpowder smell smoke if I remember, currently I use the diesel smoke smell

Thank you for a really interesting video. I have a version 5 Heng Long Panther Tiger which I converted to a Panther A. I suspect that I wouldn't have the room for all the smoke unit equipment in the turret anyway. Not to mention just how out of date the circuit board probably is. Lol. I was wondering if you could do the same sort of thing by just using the tanks own smoke unit by connecting it to the air pump on the barrel. Might even be able to keep its ability to still keep shooting BBs. One to try when I'm having one of my brainstorm day's. Break out the glue gun!! Lol. Some people were suggesting using blank's on here as a way to produce smoke. Nice idea but as a general rule. All actual working gun barrels,air pistols or regular guns, use hardened steel barrels and mechanism's. Even if they're just being used to fire blank's. You're average BB gun, which is what your tank has, is in no way comparable to the energy released by an air weapon or a regular weapon. They're usually Just 0.3 of a Jule. Since they stopped the sale of anything that's around a 0.5 of jule in recent years. Or seem to have. So yea. If you're looking to use blank's on your RC tank. I invest in some major hardware for it. All hardened steel and probably a metal tank to go with it. Probably be a better idea to go with the 1/6 scale tank's really. Otherwise you could probably be expecting to see bits of your poor tank flying through the air. Lol

Can this be fitted with a flashing light to a Heng Long Abrams Version 7.0 with the 360 turret rotation. Don't want to loose the 360 turret rotation. If so how to do it and parts (numbers) to get it done.

Now that U have connected the power to the wifi jst, U now have no 360° turret turn??!!. If U connected it to the mother board in the turret. Still would U have 360° turret turn!!.

You could. It already has one for the exhaust, now one for the cannon. Could do another!

It should work on all the tanks but it will require some small modifications

Hi, a great video mate i wish it was on youtube about 7 years ago i could have done with it then! the one i brought broke after 2 hours of using it until my son dropped the remote controll, because i dident know at that time, the first generation of the henglong 2A6, if you drop the remote control, it brakes the crystal inside it! i think the crystals in that generation was faulty and i only new that about 2 half years ago! so it spent about 5 years on the shelf!(me gutted! lol) anyway, i hope my 2 cents helps someone! so does anyone know how to change the crytals in the first generation of the heng long leopard 2A6 MBT tanks? ive got to say though i was WELL impressed when i opened the box and seen it it looks fantastic close up and what they can do nowadays, wow! i dident know how advanced they became! tanks are one of my favourate vehicles! anyway, take care and have a great day all
