    Hey, i see many people asked about the base and legs. Is it Dark Red powder or just red? And do you just dip your drybrush in and use it? You mention blending, what do you mean by blending?

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a red oxide weathering powder - just dip a dry brush in and put the pigments towards the bottom of the mini - by blending I mean use a dry brush to spread it out, keeping it close to where it would naturally collect - try it on some spare parts first to practice 👍🏻

    Another priming tip... it has been very hot out. The can recommends a max 77 degrees fahrenheit. Heed that warning. I used it the other day and the paint dried before it hit the mini leaving a grainy texture across my model.

      I use the spray too, but it never seems as white as what you start with in your video. I find I add multiple additional coats of white scar by hand to get true white.

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would probably spray the vehicle grey, then carefully add white from above so I had a nice transition (you can do this with spray cans if you don't have an airbrush). I'd then line in the recesses with an oil paint wash to make it easy - covering the whole vehicle with soulblight grey won't work unfortunately

    Hey mate, I'm having trouble with the pigments. I have got the same pigments you have and when I patter them on with my brush, they don't stay on very well. I started using pigment fixer but then it looks a little glossy and looks nothing like your dry version... did you use fixer?
