It amazes me that anyone can have such complete command of their instrument. He picks up the melody, the baseline, Slash’s riffs and solo, and Axl’s howling screams all with one piano. He doesn’t miss a thing that matters! So much talent and dedication to master an instrument. Well done, sir. So awesome.
So absolutely Fantabulous to see you n Louis’s performance this evening... can’t believe it’s been a decade knowing you n Louis.... love you all and thanks for the lovely music that fills our hearts n soul.... spiritually, emotionally, soulfully & energetically 💕
Yes 🤟 the solo! So great. I remember you inspired me to learn to play this many years ago, though nowhere near your level it's still one of my favourites to play
@@ScottDDavisMusic Not recently, my video upload was 10 years ago 😅 Though now I feel inspired to learn the solo and improve a bit then make a new recording! th-cam.com/video/xWSn-N3cLNI/w-d-xo.html
What a lovely surprise to find a notification about a new vid of you. So beautiful played with so much energy and joy. Thanks for sharing. Always love your music especially your own compositions.
Thanks very much Scott for the inspirations you give us in the past (and at present). I am glad that you're back, you've been away from youtube for awhile. Hoped you continue to upload "new" renditions. I am now on my 8 years of continuing practice and continuing strong, revisiting from time and again your past uploads. More power to you, we're here to support you.

How do I have to jail you and honest with you that you make all the pianos in the markets fighting a one of the best instrument that comes with such Melodies from you, Scott! Mr. Davis
Huge fan of yours! I hope to become as good as you on the piano one day! Currently learning swiftwater (so beautiful that it has now become my favorite piano piece!), cant wait to master it!!
you are the best :) after so may years I've heard you the first time I am still amazed and I'd love to hear you live. Come to Poland once :) best regards Klaudia
The patient build up, the sudden change from commanding to tenderness, increasing assurance and encouragement, passionate validation ignites confidence , consistent motivation believing in on behalf of the mentor, back to validation. The moment at the end when you feel satisfaction lifting your hands and head like you conquered all the moments. I enjoyed you making me analyze. I anticipate you chuckling at my answer.😊
That’s a great answer! I think my favorite moment is the first half of the “guitar” solo. The soft part in the upper register. I just love the sudden transition to how tender it is, then builds into the most intense part of the song in the following 2nd half of “guitar” solo. It’s a pivotal part of the song, and I love how the contrast highlights that turning point.
@@ScottDDavisMusic That sounds like what I meant to say but in music jargon. I do have quite a few of your pieces on my Spotify playlists and "Tahoma" is my favourite so far.
I’ve not actually played “Tahoma” in a while, and was just dusting it off this week. Kind have having to relearn it at this point, which is fun. Makes me think about it in ways I didn’t when I wrote it. I even notice new things about it.
I just discovered your work a month ago and bought your sheet music for Nothing Else Matters. The burning question is did you ever learn how to play the guitar anyway??
I did think about it, I guess I decided since it's already a piano song, it'd be less interesting to arrange. There's always a chance I'll re-think that though... or overthink it, ha!

Jaz and I were just singing along to the where do you go now at the end, in absolute hysterics. 🤣🤣 LOL.
I have looked up to your work for years but never dared try and play this song. Today is the day I buy the sheets and start practicing
Just Amazing.
Marcelino Celinho thanks!
@@ScottDDavisMusic This cover has my respect since I've seen that on 2008. Today... it looks the same. Congratolations man.
She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stare too long, I'd probably break down and cry
Whoa, oh, oh
Sweet child o' mine
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine
She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I'd hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me by
Whoa, oh, oh
Sweet child o' mine
Whoa whoa, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine
Whoa, yeah
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o' mine
Whoa, oh, whoa, oh
Sweet love of mine
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o' mine
Ooh, yeah…

Thank you Rachel! I'm glad you liked the ending too, that was fun to do.
The way this is played is very reminiscent of the build mode music in the first The Sims game (at least parts of it).
Peter Schmidt Oh interesting, I’ll have to check that out 👍

Hanh, no, I never did learn the guitar, ha!
Hello! Professor Scott. How do you do lately in your serenade pieces of composition? I am Paul by the way.
Hi Paul, I'm recording (actually re-recording) an album of new, original music. I'll be posting a teaser for it soon.
In my opinion, the song works best as a piano ballad.
Now if I can just find a version with the lyrics.
Agreed. I'd love to team up with a vocalist and make that happen. Thanks for the suggestion.

I’m surprised u haven’t covered November rain
