Waves spawning outside the arena have been the biggest reason for my p1 wipes. Glad that you cleared how that occurs cause i thought my edge baiting was correct. Going to try to always bait as close to the edge as possible from now on.
My issue isn't waves spawning outside the arena, it's standing at the centre of south and then having the wave coming from the west for some reason. When this happens you can't evade through because you'd evade outside the map and die. But the worst is P3 with the Slam waves, sometimes you're right on the edge but she does the Slam that covers the entire map instead of spawning half outside the circle, only 1 second from spawn to slam. Nearly impossible to react, cross the entire arena and find a spot safe from the waves. Having a hard time even learning P4 because getting there is so difficult with the lack of consistency in the fight, she also bugs if you push phases too fast.
I stand at the edge of the circle like you say, but no matter what I do or how I do it she always lands outside of the circle and her bullshit covers the entire area. There is literally no safe spot. What am I supposed to do?
Thats the buggy wave after 2 enforcer spawns and i am 100% sure you cant make it spawn in the place you want to, so just try to survive with cds or something. After this everything goes smoothly as explained.

If you don't make the first stagger you most likely gonna die no matter how good you will be avoiding waves the mechanic will continue until you kill mobs and boils, the waves become also randomizes and you want be able to dodge straight as she will spwawn on you with another wave, usually first try is the best, go to town and reset, also during second fight if she spawns ghosts you will die no matter what. just from touch. Its much harder on Season. The mechanics are broken even boils like to spawn outside arena. Need many tries and good preparation to go smooth.

idk i tryd to stand on the side but sometimes the waves just randomly not coming from top down instead its either instant as soon as the indicator comes or from left to right completly from a different angle or the most fun is when she spawns 2 waves on the complete platform or the hitbox from the spikes still hit you even if you are clearly behind them already. As a casual 1-2 hours player you will never kill this boss ever.

I don't see anywhere in the arena that doesn't get pounded by waves. Do you just have to pick a side to run to and dodge towards the opposite side and hope you dodge through the waves instead of getting mulched by them?

Standing exactly where you say to and the waves go diagonal sometimes all different directions makes no sense lol. Also as soon as I see the lines on the ground the waves instantly spawn. You have so much time in your clips to react once you see the lines it’s crazy.
Am I the only one having this circle pattern, so most of rhe circle is inside and I need like 3 dashes to dodge + most of the time the wavea spawn in such way that they form the tip also inside the circle and I lterally have no option to dodge or I must do needle accurate dodge with 1ms timing?

In the first phase only the waves are one shoting moves and in the second phase it gets even more nuts. She get multiple one shotting moves basically all of her attacks except a few hand attacks she does. Its insane unless you have some insane builds to beat her before she tries anything it's gonna be annoying not fun. For me at least

She is not only the hardest boss I've ever faced in my personal gaming history but Lilith and I have also become great friends and we are having our first date at a McDonalds for coffee next weekend so I just thought I'd share that with you and wish me luck. She seems like a keeper!

Awesome, but most players will not be able to do this fight if they do not cheese Lilith by one-shotting her and skipping all the mechanics. I my opinion this fight is overturned A LOT for ARPG.
It's overtuned because it's rng fest with 1 shot spam mechanics, the fight would be cool if she had a lot of important moves instead of spamming rng crap that is 1 hit kill, because the devs aren't creative enough to make a good fight with dodge mechanics, mechanics and so on, she's just a dummy target with a spam, they must brute force a way to kill you, it's cringe, poe2 is coming out soon though

Lillith always throws two waves at me when I fight her, she goes into skys throws a set of waves, then stays in the sky and throws another set. was this changed or something?
I swear your wave patterns are way consistent and there's always room on the edge from what I can see. The single hardest mechanic in this fight is the waves. I can do the damage but there's no consistency for me on the waves and when she's doing her basic melee attack she moves forward and gets between me and the edge and I'll run to the other side to pull her away, then she does the wave and it comes from a different direction every time. It's ridiculous.
I noticed in my runs (killed her by now) that if your character goes to the edge of the arena and faces outside, she'll always spawn waves at the edge and very often behind your character. It became very consistent for me and at this point I get a kill about every 3rd attempt I do. But maybe I misunderstand your problem.
Is this confirmed that when you bait at the edges you should be facing outside the arena to have better wave spawns? I noticed wudijo also doing this but never thought the direction you face when baiting made any difference on wave spawns?

I've progressed further with this boss and I honestly have to say, this is one of the most dogshit designed fights i've ever experienced. It is not fun having the boss constantly fly away every 5 seconds to do a wave pattern which one shots you because you have no time at all to do any dps to her. Why is that even a thing? She doesn't do that at the beginning, but once you get past the first add phase, she spends 3x more time doing the waves than actually being attackable.
Then your not doing nearly enough damage. The less damage you do the longer the fight takes and the more waves she will spawn. Get better gear and or rolls
@@purpleslurpe7179 Thats not the issue. Damage is fine, she literally shows up for 5 seconds and leaves to do waves, rinse and repeat, and she sometimes even spawns out the arena, so you can't hit her, so she leaves before you can even attack her.

I am lucky she never have to do the puddle. Since Phase 2 her health just drained and immediately just keeps tearing the arena and when in the middle that was the time she died.

my patterns are nothing like this... the wave bullshit is not possible to run up the middle and get behind the second one... they are spawing outside the ring and take up the whole circle.... the only way to dodge is to blood mist and pray I can get enough cool down to cast back to back blood mist. I'm a necro but I have 4 dashes and still can't find any openings to dodge the double wave attack as they spawn outside. What am I doing wrong? I've tried to stand in every spot to see if the waves will spawn in a spot where I can see and all i can see is they spawn outside the circle and take up the entire circle
Tried her for hours in season 2 and could never get past phase 1. You have 0.5 seconds to react, process, and move before rock waves kill you, and they're practically random between 4 different patterns. Already grinded out lv21 glyphs running countless lv100 sigils and have basically BiS in every slot, but they obviously couldn't balance the fight so they just made everything 1shot.
The waves have been a nightmare p, my reaction time is either awful or it’s bugged. They seems to be instant. I just paid 10mil gold for a Barb to one shot her for me instead lol
I cant even see her waves coming, she jumps up and i look for where to move next thing i know I'm dead. Also i have had it overlap multiple times, so even if i move away something else that i cant see one shots me...
Watching this again. Lilith's fireballs do less damage now and it is possible for a necro who has only 4 tempered items (one is weapon) to tank her waves, fireballs, even stomp. With an 80% temerity.
I got her halfway through first phase as pulverize Druid in my first 4 attempts, came to see what was killing me. I couldn't seem to avoid the waves. Man, seeing how much avoiding in the second phase, I know ill never get this in Harcode but maybe not ever softcore unless carried too. I'm uncoordinated old man lol
Yeah don’t worry we had two lightning wizards and a HOTA Barbarian and none of us could survive more than 3 of those waves! The fact I can run through 110 dungeons but one hit by Uber Lilith speaks everything what’s still wrong with this game!

I got a Ball Lightning build to lvl100 this weekend (8th HC attempt since release) but now getting glyphs to 21 and gearing up. If i get really powerful i might attempt her, still scared to try it though. I never want to level to 100 in HC again
Great video. By the way I think Sorc got best defensive kits against her mechanics. But lacking damage makes it super hard for Sorc to win this fight, due to the soft enrage mechanic.
@@yungtato244 Rogue has no immunity lol, what are you talking about? Dark Shroud at level 5 gives you maybe 10% damage reduction, it's almost useless. And Barbarian has the highest defenses in the game with fortified and huge armor. Barbarian is the only class in the game that can actually tank the waves, but he won't be doing any damage with such a high defense build. Also, the original comment was probably for story mode Lilith who you can beat AFK. Rogue with high defenses can ignore her cross attacks and melee attacks, everything else is lethal or close to lethal. Even her adds can hit you for half HP
things to note - you need + max evades on boots and like +20% move speed. Also, the waves in the first phase can spawn right beside eachother/on top of eachother in a way thats impossible to dodge if you don't have a dash/teleport ability. If you are a barb with just normal evade you would have to be moving before the first wave indicator spawns in order to dodge this. The fight is broken in several ways that make it incredibly rng-based/annoying.
The "suck-slam", sounds like my first 2 years vs the last year with the ex, similar qualities atleast. Phase 1 vs phase 3 is completely different hahah
It doesn't matter how much I watch this video - absolutely no clue how you can tell where the waves are coming from or predict "which" waves it will be lol. They all look identical in appearance and totally random in location so I just go to the bottom and dodge towards the center and hope for the best😅
My waves go backwards and forwards since the beginning of the fight. These waves are a ridiculously unpredictable, sometimes they come without an indicator especially at the first mob spawn, they just come out of fucking nowhere and are instant. Wtf?

I only manage took down lilith's health about 50% with the hota build, pretty much with min max gear, it's just skill issue at this point and Im playing with 150 ping because Im not from US. pretty sucks but at least I can defeat NM t80 with the hota build I haven't tried 90 but I will, but for now I think I'm gonna build rouge
I ve tried it also around 150 times I guess. I still have enormous problems when getting Lilith around 60%. I tried to mimic your path of evasion from the bottom just going to the top. Sometimes it worked. But often times the patterns were so much different that I couldnt just walk straight up / in the direction of the lava. And sometimes, even when standing in the bottom corner, it would spawn outside of the arena. Or sometimes it would go so fast, I couldnt even dash fast enough when I saw it coming. I think theres more than 1 bug / inconsistency.
Its the direction you are facing, you want to go to the edge and face the middle. Edit hmm never mind parts of the video he wasnt facing the middle... unless you can face the opposite of where you want the initial one to spawn.

Why is your floor white, where as mine is pretty dark? Does it change after you defeat her once?
The floor darkens when you die to her in SC. If you want it to stay lit you need to exit and re-enter the zone every time iirc.

It's overtuned because it's rng fest with 1 shot spam mechanics, the fight would be cool if she had a lot of important moves instead of spamming rng crap that is 1 hit kill, because the devs aren't creative enough to make a good fight with dodge mechanics, mechanics and so on, she's just a dummy target with a spam, they must brute force a way to kill you, it's cringe, poe2 is coming out soon though

Lillith always throws two waves at me when I fight her, she goes into skys throws a set of waves, then stays in the sky and throws another set. was this changed or something?
That “glitch” happens EVERY time I fight her so far in the like 6 or 8 times I fought her

I swear your wave patterns are way consistent and there's always room on the edge from what I can see. The single hardest mechanic in this fight is the waves. I can do the damage but there's no consistency for me on the waves and when she's doing her basic melee attack she moves forward and gets between me and the edge and I'll run to the other side to pull her away, then she does the wave and it comes from a different direction every time. It's ridiculous.
I noticed in my runs (killed her by now) that if your character goes to the edge of the arena and faces outside, she'll always spawn waves at the edge and very often behind your character. It became very consistent for me and at this point I get a kill about every 3rd attempt I do. But maybe I misunderstand your problem.

Is this confirmed that when you bait at the edges you should be facing outside the arena to have better wave spawns? I noticed wudijo also doing this but never thought the direction you face when baiting made any difference on wave spawns?

I've progressed further with this boss and I honestly have to say, this is one of the most dogshit designed fights i've ever experienced. It is not fun having the boss constantly fly away every 5 seconds to do a wave pattern which one shots you because you have no time at all to do any dps to her. Why is that even a thing? She doesn't do that at the beginning, but once you get past the first add phase, she spends 3x more time doing the waves than actually being attackable.
Then your not doing nearly enough damage. The less damage you do the longer the fight takes and the more waves she will spawn. Get better gear and or rolls
@@purpleslurpe7179 Thats not the issue. Damage is fine, she literally shows up for 5 seconds and leaves to do waves, rinse and repeat, and she sometimes even spawns out the arena, so you can't hit her, so she leaves before you can even attack her.

Yep first intermission waves can be buggy. Sometimes the side waves spawn in the wrong locations.
Im doing enough damage to skip the first phase even 2 shot second phase but stll i need to get through the whole process of the breaking arena to finish her still i cant dodge those things flying aroung...

I am lucky she never have to do the puddle. Since Phase 2 her health just drained and immediately just keeps tearing the arena and when in the middle that was the time she died.

@@piterek2003 same, for me the spacing between the waves, keeps changing, so I can't develop a consistent dodge, at the same time, it's way too fast for me to react on the fly, I kinda need to pre-move in the right spot.

my patterns are nothing like this... the wave bullshit is not possible to run up the middle and get behind the second one... they are spawing outside the ring and take up the whole circle.... the only way to dodge is to blood mist and pray I can get enough cool down to cast back to back blood mist. I'm a necro but I have 4 dashes and still can't find any openings to dodge the double wave attack as they spawn outside. What am I doing wrong? I've tried to stand in every spot to see if the waves will spawn in a spot where I can see and all i can see is they spawn outside the circle and take up the entire circle

Tried her for hours in season 2 and could never get past phase 1. You have 0.5 seconds to react, process, and move before rock waves kill you, and they're practically random between 4 different patterns.
Already grinded out lv21 glyphs running countless lv100 sigils and have basically BiS in every slot, but they obviously couldn't balance the fight so they just made everything 1shot.

Watching this again. Lilith's fireballs do less damage now and it is possible for a necro who has only 4 tempered items (one is weapon) to tank her waves, fireballs, even stomp. With an 80% temerity.
I got her halfway through first phase as pulverize Druid in my first 4 attempts, came to see what was killing me. I couldn't seem to avoid the waves. Man, seeing how much avoiding in the second phase, I know ill never get this in Harcode but maybe not ever softcore unless carried too. I'm uncoordinated old man lol
Yeah don’t worry we had two lightning wizards and a HOTA Barbarian and none of us could survive more than 3 of those waves! The fact I can run through 110 dungeons but one hit by Uber Lilith speaks everything what’s still wrong with this game!

I got a Ball Lightning build to lvl100 this weekend (8th HC attempt since release) but now getting glyphs to 21 and gearing up. If i get really powerful i might attempt her, still scared to try it though. I never want to level to 100 in HC again
Great video. By the way I think Sorc got best defensive kits against her mechanics. But lacking damage makes it super hard for Sorc to win this fight, due to the soft enrage mechanic.

I've seen a rogue player just face tank her spike waves during her 1st form, and it barely did any damage... And here I'm getting one shot by those.
Check your chest and pants. They should have mostly damage reduction as all 4 affixes, obviously dodges and HP helps also
Rogue has shadows barb is only class without a form of immunity
@@yungtato244 Rogue has no immunity lol, what are you talking about? Dark Shroud at level 5 gives you maybe 10% damage reduction, it's almost useless. And Barbarian has the highest defenses in the game with fortified and huge armor. Barbarian is the only class in the game that can actually tank the waves, but he won't be doing any damage with such a high defense build.
Also, the original comment was probably for story mode Lilith who you can beat AFK.
Rogue with high defenses can ignore her cross attacks and melee attacks, everything else is lethal or close to lethal. Even her adds can hit you for half HP

things to note - you need + max evades on boots and like +20% move speed. Also, the waves in the first phase can spawn right beside eachother/on top of eachother in a way thats impossible to dodge if you don't have a dash/teleport ability. If you are a barb with just normal evade you would have to be moving before the first wave indicator spawns in order to dodge this. The fight is broken in several ways that make it incredibly rng-based/annoying.

They all look identical in appearance and totally random in location so I just go to the bottom and dodge towards the center and hope for the best😅

These waves are a ridiculously unpredictable, sometimes they come without an indicator especially at the first mob spawn, they just come out of fucking nowhere and are instant. Wtf?

Yes there is a damage threshold for the fight. If you can't kill adds fast enough she will keep spawning waves
I only manage took down lilith's health about 50% with the hota build, pretty much with min max gear, it's just skill issue at this point and Im playing with 150 ping because Im not from US. pretty sucks but at least I can defeat NM t80 with the hota build I haven't tried 90 but I will, but for now I think I'm gonna build rouge

I ve tried it also around 150 times I guess. I still have enormous problems when getting Lilith around 60%. I tried to mimic your path of evasion from the bottom just going to the top. Sometimes it worked. But often times the patterns were so much different that I couldnt just walk straight up / in the direction of the lava. And sometimes, even when standing in the bottom corner, it would spawn outside of the arena. Or sometimes it would go so fast, I couldnt even dash fast enough when I saw it coming. I think theres more than 1 bug / inconsistency.

Its the direction you are facing, you want to go to the edge and face the middle. Edit hmm never mind parts of the video he wasnt facing the middle... unless you can face the opposite of where you want the initial one to spawn.

I'm like 99% certain its the direction you are facing, it seems to snapshot it if you don't do it correctly and throws the lines all over the place.
