It's amazing the amount of practice they already put in at this point.
    Love this early stuff....

In this video, Ale looked like a shy teenager (which she was) but played like a rocker.

Yes, Ale will sing lead for the first time in this set. It's very apparent to me that Ale was actually less inhibited at this age. She seems to have become more self conscious as she has gotten older. She was more willing to put herself out there as a performer at that age without worrying too much about any criticism. I wonder if social media and all the haters had anything to do with her becoming more reserved over time?

I agree and also the Covid restrictions took them off stage. So they weren't continuously in front of people performing in that 15 to 17 age group for her.

@@radleymo That is also true, not to mention that Ale is a bit shy.

Thank you for reacting to this gem of a concert that is a landmark in The Warning journey. Not many fans are aware of this goldmine of information.
A huge thanks to The Warning Army YT channel for compiling this show as a playlist and adding English subtitles for non-Spanish speakers like me. There are a couple of other clips available from different angles, one from dead centre, but this one is the best.
BTW we can see a beaming Luis & Mony on the lower right hand corner of the frame.
This is the show where Ale sang in public for the 1st time.
I will urge you to maintain the sequence of this playlist so that we can follow the storytelling in between songs.
Monterrey is almost 300 miles south of San Antonio. So its extremely likely that their English teachers were Americans. A highly probable reason for the sisters picking up American accent with a Southern drawl.
Its interesting to see how a 13 year old Pau was influenced by space & satellites while writing this song - free falling, crashing through space, I'm burning up, put out this flame, etc. Remember in Black Holes she wrote - Was shattered like a satellite, I'm slowly falling, crashing below, Like black holes, etc.
    Escape the Mind next.
    Can't wait.

I have no idea how Dany and Ale could be that close to Pau's kit and not flinch. She is going absolutely ham. 😂

This song is remarkably mature for girls their age when it came out (I think they were 10 through 15) at the time. You’d expect lyrics more like, “ooooo he left me, oooooo I’m so sad” for a heartbreak song at that age, but this is far beyond that. And it wasn’t long before they went a different direction with heartbreak lyrics in QOTMS.

      @arctic_haze 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

Absolutely. The lyrics could have come from a recent Billie Eilish song and I have deep respect for the songwriting abilities of her and her brother Finneas.

Yes, they credit this as the first song they wrote together. I’m sure they finished up the others together too but were originally written individually (the famous “homework” from Pablo)

Technically, Ale didn't do any vocals on the album recording of "Enter Sandman" because she was recovering from oral surgery. (Wisdom teeth removal) She is depicted in the music video as doing backing vocals, but I think all of the backing vocals were actually Pau. Obviously, today when they do it live, Ale does backing vocals. :-) Ale did play bass on the recorded track, of course. :-)

In this video, it is announced the first time in history, Ale is going to sing⚡🤘
    The Q and A is interesting 🤘⚡

Yeah, she sings "River's Soul"... a rare case where she sings lead willingly... without Dany being sick first. :-)

Great! Qué gran material el de Agua Fría! El escenario se ve pequeño y tal vez el lugar sea así, pero se siente intimista y agradable el ambiente. Gracias por reaccionar a esto! The Warning, en cualquier momento de su historia, un gran show! Thanks Glenn and Adrian!

I’m impressed with their sophistication in song writing at their ages. Pablo and others are fine teachers.
But DPA are really motivated, so inspiring!

Great presentation Glenn and Adrian!… You can see their proud parents (Mony and Luis) in the lower left corner supporting them as always.
    Their first classic! ⚡️🤘🏼

I've always wondered about the Brit english accent they have on certain words. For me, another little piece of their charm🥰
Congrats on 6K plus subs, Fellas!
I like your takes and content.

The things they say between songs is very important to the context of this show. This is where they addressed some of the criticism that they were rich and that's why they had the equipment to perform like this. 2 things:
1] Equipment does not equate to the ability to play.
2] As they noted, much of their early equipment was gifted to them by fans.
As far as I know they had an upper middle class childhood with two professionals as parents but were not rich. I know that their mom is a dentist but I'm not sure about their dad. I know he had a sound studio but I think that his actual background is as a civil engineer though it isn't mentioned much anymore. I wouldn't be surprised even if the ladies put more emphasis on sound engineer rather than civil engineer. Being a mechanical engineer myself I am very familiar with how little the general public understands the different engineering disciplines and lump several things under the title even when not warranted.

Such great stage performance for kids so young.
Just watching a 13 year old Ale give such a comfortable and confident performance on stage is so cool.

Thank you for reacting to this song. I love this song and especialy this performance (I think it´s last time they played it live). I will also point out Paulina´s drumming here, she really push this performance forward with her energetic style.

This is a much more mature Free Falling, Dany is really coming into her own, Ale is struggling with her growth, spurts, trying to find her style, and Pau it still herself, just killing those drums. And yes, it is an important song coming from their first EP, and the first. I believe started by Ale

They have said a bunch of times this was the first song all 3 wrote, and it ended up on the rock band 4, the rest of ETM they each wrote on their own.

Love this, thanks guys. Really enjoy the look backs at this amazing bands beginnings and growth. BTW, went through your massive play list and could not find "Eternal Love" from like 10 years ago (maybe I missed it) anyway, if you have not, here is the Link:th-cam.com/video/P6DC32_Q7ME/w-d-xo.html. I am guessing you have seen this but just in case. Thanks.
