Hey Xiaoma! Last week I was wondering when you would make videos in Turkey and now, I am so happy that you visited here man !!! Also I am sure that your Turkish content will get a LOT of views if you spend more time in the streets & try out some food. We as Turkish people are really enthusiastic when it comes to seeing foreigners explore the country, which is just like having your friend watch your favorite movie and seeing their reaction! 😁I'd love to show you around in Istanbul!!
As a Turkish person I think this is one of the cultural differences we have with the west. In Turkiye, if you try to speak Turkish no matter how poor your Turkish is, people will find it sympathetic and will try to help you. But for instance in France, if your french is poor, people dont like to hear it and they are like they want you to stop trying and continue in english.

When you delve deeply into Turkish history, it is insane how many iconic figures and historical events happened in that area. Fascinating country. Roasted Chestnuts are an autumn/winter dish here in the UK, or it was until people stopped learning how to do it. I have a few spots where I get thousands and store them for the kids.
Been watching for years, thanks for introducing me to yourteacher, this has made things easier for me as a mom with ADHD trying to learn a language( Spanish) I should have learned 15 years ago growing up in LA. Also the guy who got you juice was super adorable!

I would love to go to Turkey. Lots of amazing Biblical sites there! Also, Istanbul reminds me of Tehran when I lived there as a kid. Tehran was very Westernized before the Revolution. The people are so friendly there also.
I have always longed to visit Iran. Probably Top 2 places on earth. I want to go and visit Hamadan. I would love to see the relics of Persia glorious past. Any place that could seduce Alexander The Great seems like an amazing place to visit.
I absolutely LOVE your channel. I’m crazy about languages too! My interest started as a child because my grandfather was from Denmark and spoke Danish. My interest led me to learn ASL (American Sign language) and I became an interpreter. However, my interest in spoken languages has never come to an end.
The Chestnut is one of the few universal foods. DNA evidence suggests they possibly originated somewhere in Asia (we don't really know where precisely) about 56 million years ago, and have spread to pretty much every continent except for Oceania long before humans. So pretty much people have been roasting and eating chestnuts way before we have archaeological records for. There are small variations between American, European, and Chinese varieties, but they mostly all taste very similar. Plus you can get them in most grocery stores (both raw in shell, and precooked in cans & snack pouches)
the chestnuts in Turkiye are known as Italian chestnuts in the U.S. Kind of smaller in size and tastier compared to the Asian / Chinese ones, which are bigger and has literally a bland taste.

My first time watching Shaman's video. Hilarious interactions with ordinary Turks on the street. Very lovely. Turks adore foreign visitors who attempt to speak their difficult language. Hospitality runs high in their veins. That's who they are.

I understand how inflation can affect everyday life. In 2010, when bread cost 1 Lira, it represented about 0.13% of the monthly minimum wage (760 lira). In contrast, in 2024, with bread priced at 8 Lira, it accounts for approximately 0.04% of the minimum wage (17,000 lira net). Despite the nominal price of bread rising, it actually takes up a smaller proportion of the minimum wage in 2024 compared to 2010. This indicates that, relatively speaking, bread is less of a financial burden on the minimum wage in 2024 than it was in 2010.
It is difficult but doable. Don't rush. Practice with simple words every day. As long as people understand you pay no attention to perfect grammar. Seeing smiling faces is always encouraging.

16:23 The guy in the background looks so happy and blown away to hear Arieh speaking Turkish 😁 Just like, pure joy 😊 Love it!
I am on my first visit to Istanbul RIGHT NOW and Xiaoma is inspiring me to try some new things I hadn’t thought of. So cool. Thanks for the great video!
Brother you have Turkish fans! I've been watching your videos for like 5-6 years and it'd be great pleasure if I could just meet you man. Hope you a wonderful trip here, cheers!
Ay suna bak sevdalandi tammam askim ❤ senide sevsinler 🤓
As a Turk, your Turkish is pretty good dude! ✌🏼🤙🏼you probably made all their days by even stopping by and showing you atleast tried. They all were very hospitable
Finallyyyyy!!!!!! I was waiting for a Turkish video, im so proud of it. also you speak really good!!! keep learning it
You were one of the motivations for me to learn Chinese! I will go to Tianjin, China to enhance my Chinese in a language course. Seeing you in my home country speaking Turkish just gave me goosebumps. I wish I saw you in person but maybe next time.
5:44 No cig kofte for you. Come back in one year! NEXT!!!
Exactly what I was thinking. Put this guy in a sitcom.
LOL, The guy is the real life version of the "Soup Nazi" character in the TV series Seinfeld; "No soup for you!!".
Ari needs to find his recipes to humble him.
Great minds think alike!
@@pdrey100 I wonder if he is selling an armoire?
Was waiting for you to visit Türkiye and also learn Turkish. Ankara'ya geldiğinde denk gelmeyi çok isterdim. Hoşgeldin.
Turkey is such a beautiful country. I have 300 subscriptions on TH-cam, your channel is only 3 I have the bell notifications on for! ❤
omg I watch your videos all the time and I never thought you would come to Turkey and speak Turkish. I couldnt get enough out of this video, I need moreee!!!
Absolutly cool that your finally in turkey, please do more turkish content
Took the family to Turkey for a holiday. Best local fish ive ever had to eat.
Been watching for years, thanks for introducing me to yourteacher, this has made things easier for me as a mom with ADHD trying to learn a language( Spanish) I should have learned 15 years ago growing up in LA. Also the guy who got you juice was super adorable!
Love the smiles you bring! You can tell they were happy u were there and happy u knew their language! 🍺
this is fun to watch as a Turkish-American dual citizen, I hope you continue to learn Turkish! Also in New York there used to be a location of the franchise Simit Sarayı but I believe it has since gone under, I do remember visiting and eating simit in NYC back in like 2016
The best thing about this trip is all of the fans being so generous and happy to meet you. Too bad you weren't able to try Mr. Munur Onkan. His massages look so amazing.🤗
Didn't realise turkey was such a beautiful country with amazing people, definitely added to my travel list.
My mum's Turkish Cypriot -- I'm gonna show her this video tomorrow, she'll love it!
I love you making turkish videos ! as a turk myself ive been waiting for this moment 😊😊 hope you are having fun kardes
At inek koyun, ucunun yedigi ot boku farkli neden?
Holy shit, I was probably in the book store on the corner to the right, named "Dost Kitapevi", when you were buying the pomegranate juice, what a small world :D
I'm hooked on turkish tv series. To see you in Turkey makes my day. Most Turkish tv is filmed outdoors and frequently food and markets are shown. Their food looks so fresh and delicious. They really like their food and many scenes are family table full of food . 🎉🎉🎉
Seni İslam'a davet ediyorum japonyada'da İslam'ı kabul edenlerin sayısı arttı sen neden İslam'a geri dönmüyorsun?
Türkçen daha da iyi olmuş. Keep up good work bro❤
You are one of the best ambassadors of what America is about. Thx.
I absolutely LOVE your channel. I’m crazy about languages too! My interest started as a child because my grandfather was from Denmark and spoke Danish. My interest led me to learn ASL (American Sign language) and I became an interpreter. However, my interest in spoken languages has never come to an end.
Your whole channel is such a good vibe. Connecting the world through your voice. : )
I wanted to see you learn turkish for a hot minute. Very good job as always, Ari!
Turkey is awesome and the people are very kind.
I'm learning Turkish! Perfect that u made this video 😁
I miss ❤ Turkey. I enjoyed visiting Istanbul. I enjoyed you practicing Your Turkish. You doing so good. Very gifted.
I am absolutely in shock that you can speak Turkish. I think your accent is so good as a tourist. ❤
Damn. Making me want to live in Turkey. Very friendly people.
Heading there next year in October to live for a year in çanakale. Will try out the app to learn Turkish.
The title of the video already made my forces to continue to study Turkish to be replenished LOL
Turks are the nicest people they’ll give you free food and let you sleep at their house just for saying hello
bro I love you and big fan from istanbul, you only have visited some touristic places you should need to visit bebek, kuruçeşme and nişantaşı too these are the places where rich and cultured people usually hang out
Bro as a turkish speaking person thats really nice to watch and i really learned alot too because i usually speak german cuz i was born in germany! But great video pls keep up the turkish haha
A turk in Germany here! I speak both turkish and german equally. Outside it's german, inside it's german and turkish but mostly turkish. Because of this I can speak turkish like a native speaker without an accent. Greatful for my parents bec of this. And since I was born and grew up in Germany, I also speak german like a native.

Güzel ülkemize yeniden bekleriz arkadaşım. Biz Türkler, binlerce yıl boyunca yabancı insanlara karşı iyi kalbimiz, nezaketimiz ve saygımız ile tanındık. Bu Türk topraklarında bizi seven herkesi seve seve misafir ederiz. Herkesi bekliyoruz.
Happy to see you enjoyed in Turkey, have nicer trips!
5:00 You should have talked German with him! :D He is well known in the German TikTok community.

As a Turk, this is the funniest content I've seen in a while. Absolutely incredible man I love it
0:05 out of context is crazy.
My first time watching Shaman's video. Hilarious interactions with ordinary Turks on the street. Very lovely. Turks adore foreign visitors who attempt to speak their difficult language. Hospitality runs high in their veins. That's who they are.

It just goes to show that there are great people worldwide. Keep spreading the kindness. 👍🏻✌🏻
I really like the Turkish people I know in America. I dream of visiting their rich, historic country someday.
Spent two weeks in southern Turkey a couple of weeks ago,I have never felt so welcome in any other country in my life.❤❤ So friendly, caring people.Going back in a few months.Love from Scotland 🏴 .Best holiday ever.
17:02 I could buy a bread like that from the local bakkal for 1 Lira in 2010. Shows how the inflation has risen in Turkey :(
Crazy, in the UK that bread would be about £1.50 which is just over 60 Lira.
Turkey's economy is walking dead. We are barely living here.
Hoşgeldiniz, umarım keyifli vakit geçirirsiniz, Türkçe öğrenmek çok kolay, Türkiye çok güzel bir ülke ve insanları çok sıcak, çok samimidir.
I’ve been trying to learn Turkish for months but just can’t get it! But I’m in love with their culture! Would love to visit!
It is difficult but doable. Don't rush. Practice with simple words every day. As long as people understand you pay no attention to perfect grammar. Seeing smiling faces is always encouraging.
Bro only learn some grammar after that watch cartoons for kids don't need to study for words you'll learn if you're watching something
I’m not sure how you were ever recommended to my TH-cam channel because it’s so random. I don’t know any other languages other than English and it’s very interesting and cool watching you interact with all these people speaking their language. It’s awesome!
Great to see you in Turkiye mate, W video.
I love traveling the world with you and your videos Ari. Safe travels!
