Summary of the video:
1. Prepare for Mains, Pre will take care of itself.
2. Stats, Data, Facts, Figures matter next to nothing. Analysis, Debate and Discussion are better.
3. Stick to the basics - NCERTs, daily newspaper.
4. Go full out on your Optional - no expense spared.
5. It is okay to leave out a couple of topics entirely.
6. Revise.
7. Coaching is extremely overrated, if not entirely unnecessary.
And most importantly,
8. Ira is lazy... Ira. Is. Lazy... LAAAAAZZZZZYYYY.

I feel she's not lazy that's over emphasised .. or may be it's a way to tell urself that I still am nothing n u need to do more .. being very practical .. just superb person .. mains marks is amazing .. clear winner . I think as she has already stated that this is her strategy and may not b applicable to all... We should take good points and forget the points not suitable to us. For e.g. she has answered a common question of civil service exam aspirants of how many hours one should study in a day.... The daily study target should b content based and not hours based.... Very well said IRA...

Great that u genuinely shared ur marks, views etc. This shows how much luck would favour with hardwork. One mark above prelims cutoff, ends up being no.1. Understand the importance of prelims, 1mark below the score has to wait for 1 year. That one mark is test for CONFIDENCE. Congrats Ira mam your truely an inspiration. It would be so helpful for thousands of aspirants like me out there if you share an account on answer writing especially GS2 and GS4....marks were simply superb...Thank you.
Congratulations to Ms. Singhal for her achievement and thanks to Mr. Saini for trying to help CSE aspirants! While it is true that Ms. Singhal focused on how she did not work very hard for the exam, she did mention that it is not something to be followed by other aspirants. There is no short-cut to success. While one may cross a few hurdles in life by fluke, in the end one is bound to get embarrassed and face failure if their basics are not strong and they don't know how to earn things the right way. Listen to everybody's opinion but ultimately, you have to find your own success mantra. So friends, keep working and have faith in yourselves!

They way in which toppers of UPSC are communicating with new aspirants is highly useful . So I would request Roman sir to never stop making videos and Mark some videos as Highly Important also . You are awesome girl!! This is the first time i am seeing a topper having same line of thought as me. I wouldn't say I am lazy, but i don't get any time because of my job and i try to complete as much as portion as possible without looking at the amount of time i have put in. I consciously avoid watching/reading strategy plans where they tell about the amount of time you should put in. And the piece about mugging up, i am so glad you have been true about not being able to mug up.
Thanks again, the video has helped me get my confidence back because i was loosing it as prelims are approaching soon. Thanks to Roman too for all his videos. :)

Roman Sir, I have a small Suggestion , I am quite impressed by this work unacademy is doing for aspirants like me who are working and cannot go for coaching,What I would like to suggest is that :
1. You can ask UPSC toppers in optional papers to start making videos in separate playlist like we have for polity, geo etc.Eg: Say geography optional Playlist by Ira maam.
2. and I feel ,many of the successful people can also help you in making videos , so I feel more people must be encouraged to do so.

Me too.. Not a mugger.. Can't memorize stuff.. After seeing this i really feel good thinking people like me are also topping upsc...n that was seriously a good advice to finish a particular amount of content rather than sitting in front of the books for 12-16 hours without getting anything..
