Tati, I have been married 15 years. I just want to say that it is completely normal to not feel much towards your spouse. The temptations of being with someone new and chasing butterflies will always hover around. I was at a low point in my life and I made the same prayer you did. "Please let me love my husband again". And I swear to you, God gave it back to me. I look at him and see what an amazing person I married. God is there always listening, although he will not be so quick to spoil us by giving us what we pray for each and every single time. I thought everyone should know this.

I 100% understand the “not feel” anything. When you’ve gone through a lot of trauma, you tend to build walls around you to protect yourself from falling apart. In a society where divorce has become so normalized - no one really remembers the vows they took and chooses to work things out. Now, no one should stay in an abusive relationship. But, all relationships will go through good and bad times. It IS a choice you make to choose love and forever.
I’m so happy that Tati has gone through the storms and is coming out on the sunshine side.

I get what you mean about loving someone is a choice. My husband and I went through a really rough spot 14 years into our marriage. We both worked hard to get back to why we loved each other, and I'm glad we did as we fell in love all over again. I'm glad we got back to where we had been as my darling husband passed away just after our 15th wedding anniversary. We were always in love, but his mental health issues got on top of him for a while, but he found happiness again. For 11 months he was happy, which is all I could have ever wanted for him. I'll be forever thankful that we were in a REALLY good place again, and he was finally happy before his life was cut short. It took work, it sometimes felt so hard, but love won. And it's something I will carry with me, always.

I feel you are a very strong person and I hope you find love again. Idk if you have because I don’t know how long ago he passed, but finding love again doesn’t mean your guys love wasn’t amazing and it doesn’t mean your replacing him. Thank you so much for pushing back on the "just manifest it" culture. It allows us as a society to distract ourselves from the systemic / structural barriers that we need to address. Not to mention creating a culture where when bad things happen to people (like getting cancer, which I had at 37), people blame themselves (or others blame them). Anyway, long comment, but just appreciate you speaking up about this change in your perspective.

I can relate to the relationship plateau. After being in a steady relationship for 8-9 years, choosing to love is key. It’s not always easy to feel “in love”, definitely something we have to actively work at to keep alive.

    • @Figgatella
      @Figgatella 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

Huge misconception, people do not stay actively in love all the time. Relationships grow and change. You do have to work on it, but there are times where you just go about your day and think constantly about being in love. Yes, you can fall in love over and over again as well as not so much. Then you just do your own thing until it changes. I’ve been married for 25 years and our relationship has changed. We still care about each other but it is not like ooh I’m so in love, it doesn’t stay that way. A lot of people get divorced when they don’t feel that anymore which is just stupid in my opinion. It’s about committing to the person you said ‘Til death do us part’.

I got pregnant at age 39, after failing IVF and trying for twenty years. I also adopted a child, and both ways are AMAZING ways to get a child.
With adoption, both of you are “pregnant” together as equals and it’s an amazing journey you get to share together. Pregnancy is more about you and your body, while he is a observer, but as soon as the child is born and you start to bond, it’s amazing too. I’m saying this to tell you that children can come into our lives many different ways, and that your own genes have nothing to do with how much love you’ll feel for it.
I hope you succeed with getting pregnant, Tati, you will be amazing parents!

Omg Tati, I’m so glad to hear you are going to do fertility! I’m sitting here snuggling with my miracle one and only IVF baby out of two rounds and even though I don’t know you I think about you and can’t wait to watch your journey and pray for you and will be so happy for you and what could be. I pray it goes well!!

I did 2 rounds of IVF too. I had 1 natural pregnancy that ended in a stillborn at 26 weeks. Then I was unable to get pregnant again. My 2nd round of IVF produced 2 embryos and my last embryo transfer I finally got my rainbow baby. Such a long road, but I would do it all again.

Wow thank you for being so vulnerable and real! It is nice to be let in to other ppls struggles and not just see the perfect sunny side of social media. Sounds like the future is bright 🌞 staying relaxed approaching fertility endeavors is def important!! Will you document the journey to conceiving ? I love those videos 💗

Girl. I love to see how much stronger you've become through all the struggles of the past year. It's good to see your shine again. I hope your family wishes will be granted and that Pucca will do well.
On the creative note, take all the time you need. If you decide to release music at 80 years old, I'll be here for it ^^

I cried so hard for this video. The empathy I feel for the situation is so close to my heart and mind and life. I absolutely love watching your videos and look forward to them. My five year old, Coco, pulls them up on our tv and yells for me to come watch with her. We love you!

That is not true! we need to remember that saying that “God doesn’t give us more than we can handle” is false.... we need God because we CANNOT handle it alone, he is a ROCK and FOUNDATION for those who call upon Him! God bless! 💜

Although you’ve been in a hard place, it sounds like you’re doing really great now. It’s so awesome to have someone talk about their faith openly. 🤍
I personally don’t need all the details about the litigation, I’m good with just the quick highlights. Sometimes it’s good to have a place that feels separated from your worries.

You’re absolutely right about love being a choice. Went thru that myself where both my husband and I got numb to each other and were on the brink of divorce, but one day out of nowhere, after going thru the motions, we had a conversation and said so are WE gonna work on this? And we both said yes. No details or anything… just the decision that yes we would. And from there day-by-day we worked on being kind and patient with each other. It wasn’t perfect, but better and there was definitely progress. I made effort and he noticed and he made effort and I noticed. And here were are a year later in a great place and in love again ❤️
