    Great video Darrin. I got to use a Quintas set on my Zvezda Kamaz rally truck. They were definitely a game changer, I can’t wait for these to find the 1/24 race market. I used bob smith super gold+ to glue mine. Only a couple of seconds to get in place, but they were very easy to use.

    Great video - I think folks just need to pick their battles with Quinta panels. They're almost a must have in certain builds (stuff like the ICM AH-1 for example).

    Maybe invest in better equipment (lenses) that allow us to get real close. We get the idea, but the area you showed is way smaller than the pic on the instruction sheet. We lose interest straining to see small stuff. ( rule of thirds in photography/videograghy) way too much of the whole bench showing instead of the cockpit, but you did good in explaining the process ( may have been better to prove how others worked) thanks for helping us be more clear on applying 3d decals. Keep up the good work.

    If I use it on a different kit than the kit it was designed for, after installation, can I trim the 3D decal to fit?

    Thanks, Darren.
    Do you see any quality difference between the red fox and quilts studio?

      I absolutely LOVE the lamp!! I really need to break down and do a review on it. Its pretty pricy but IHO it's completely worth the price......amzn.to/3FRpidx

    Thank you for posting 👍 Where did you source those purple colored QTips from?

      I believe I got those at Target in the make up section, they were in a multi pack with fine point, wide tipped and the regular tip in black.

    Thanks Darrin, we don’t have Elmers glue in the Netherlands, but it looks like white glues such as pva ,wood glue and micro crystal clear. These would work just as well I feel. Any thoughts on that? Cheers from Holland!

      I use Micro Kristal Klear myself with no issues at all

    Darrin, quick question. Once everything is set and dried. Do you use or have you used a wash or liner to kinda make things stand out a bit more?

      @GrumpyModeler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve had no problem using oil based washes and odorless terpenoid. I would stay away from anything lacquer based. Lastly, if you’ve never attempted a technique then ALWAYS test first!!!

    It’s Cheating! LOL. Those Amazon brushes are great. You get a bag full for only a few dollars. I get a little lazy so there great for these kind of applications and just throw away.

      Cheating......eh, maybe but completely worth it when needed!!!

    As good as their product I’d and as much as I hate to punish small business until Russia gets out of Ukraine I will not buy any product made in Russia.

    • @GrumpyModeler
      @GrumpyModeler  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had that initial thought to but you have to remember there are a ton of US retailers that already had stock in place. Is it fair to hurt their bottom line?
      I certainly don’t buy anything straight from a Russian source but I refuse to hurt our retailers.

      @@GrumpyModeler I agree with you and I should have been clearer. I would buy from Sprue Bros for example as long as the item was in existing inventory so I know they already have a sunk cost. I will not buy directly from any Russian vendor.
