I have just Switch alone and I really like it because I don’t have to carry many different ones out. I do hear a difference when I use it and I’m confused why some say they can’t. I use these during lectures, when I go to the cinema or musicals/concerts & it works like a dream. If I want to hear my friends more, I turn it to the most open setting BUT if someone keeps chatting non stop in the lecture hall, I just switch it all the way to the most quiet setting & BLISS! I can focus on the lecturer and not hear the jibber jabber of these jokers. With this one, I don’t feel I need to buy anymore products. :) Sadly switch doesn’t have a kid version lol so I got my kid the one meant for children. They really love it as they find they can focus better on their work with it on.
What about sounds like dog barking, kid screaming etc? Will it be stopped? I find it hard to imagine to what extend they let the speaking sound in and stop other noise. I have a parrot that screams so badly it drives me insane, is it gonna work?
Disclaimer, I never tried any other earplugs that don't just block sound altogether: I researched a lot for earplugs for concerts and came to choose the loop experience plus. I used it for Muse last year and it worked amazingly. I didn't get my ears blown out and still able to hear the music cleanly. It even worked out well for noisy places like night markets, and even when I went to band practice. My sister also tried it since she has trouble to focus when there's too much noise and decided to buy the Emgaged version. When Loop first announced the Switch, I was excited but thinking I already have the experience I don't think I have any use for the changeable nature.
Thank you for the review! I'm having horrible sleep in the summer with my windows open and this helped me realize, that I'd be wasting my money buying the premium "Switch" earplugs. Of course Loop doesn't advertise them for sleep, but they also don't make a loud warning about how they're unsuitable for it. I'll be checking out your other videos and might drop a follow. Love your style 🤘
I bought the Switch ear plugs specifically to hopefully help me manage my hyperacusis in noisy environments without always having to resort to the large ear muffs. I have both tinnitus and hyperacusis which makes sounds that are loudish, but doesn’t affect the average person, painful for my inner ear. Living with this hearing disorder has been difficult, always trying to prevent accidental loud noise exposure which exasperates my condition. Hopefully, these will make a huge difference for me. Thanks for your review. It was informative.
I wish the quite mode would be more quiet. Normal bluetooth earphone can reduce noise by 30 decibels so why the product that is particulary made only to mute the backround reduce it by 25 db max?
Thanks! I was looking for a concert and sleeping, and figured it's too pricey to go for Loop Experience and Loop Quiet. But now I know this one is too hard to use for side sleeping.
i think im used to rely on ANC earbuds to sleep cuz of the high pitch fan noises, im not sure these would perform the same or better cuz there is only some reviews on the internet but none of them actually compare to ANC buds
Thank you for the review. I've ordered this version (I think) and it kooks like it will be what I'm after. I wanted something with the option of cutting sound out on the fly but still having some personal level of hearing and I wanted to be able to switch and talk to people. These seem an ideal everyday carry
Thank you for the review!!! I just bought the switch. I didn’t notice much a difference in the switch with the demonstration like most of the comments, but I am hoping it’s different in real life. Thank you for the explanation!
Unfortunately I don't have a scientific way of measuring the difference. From my ears, the noise reduction is similar but the Quiet is definitely soft so I can sleep while wearing them
Your reviews 👌 on Loop ear plugs have been really helpful & informative 🙌.Does the Loop switch works efficiently & exactly as the individual models of Loop engage & experience ? Is there a substance difference between all the modes ? I am planning to buy Switch but confused what if all the modes of switches sounds same . Thanks 🤗!!
If I'm not mistaken, the Switch is slightly less effective compared to the individual models but I'm not sure by how much. Honestly, I'll take the Switch over the individual models, except for the Quiet for sleeping.
Are the modes on the Switch as effective as the individual earplugs themselves? For example quiet mode on the Switch, is it as good as the Quiet earplugs?
I can't tolerate plugs that won't let the air escape while putting them in. Does the loop switch have a hole in the engage setting that lets the air out?
I can’t say for certain that the sound doesn’t differ between the three different ones, but I’ve used my Engage 2 Pluses for concerts, bars, and general conversation, and it works just fine with or without the mutes. I can still hear conversation every setting which is the #1 priority for me, and while the music sounded a little different at a concert, it still blocked out most of the sounds I wanted it to, I could still hear the person next to me without them shouting, and on the packaging the noise reduction level with frequencies is similar to the Quiets. If you go to a lot of concerts and want the sound to be the same just quieter, get experience 2 plus, but if convo is your priority, get engage 2 plus. If you really do want to see if there’s a difference between the settings then get the new Loop Switch 2, but imo it just doesn’t seem worth the extra $15-20
I can't judge how's the Quiet 2 since I don't have it either. It truly depends on what you need though. If it's just for sleeping then 100% go for the Quiet. If it's for not-sleeping then the Switch is great since you can adjust and adapt to whatever situation you're in.
Those bike exhausts you talk about are loud so people in cars can hear them and know they are there and not knock them off their bikes. In fact you can be prosecuted for careless or dangerous driving for wearing earplugs or ear buds while driving in my country, not sure about where you are, for this exact reason.

Muse concerts are the best
im quite surprised they don't include those memory foam earplugs but these cheap silicone ones with this price, i feel like those fits better

Glad this is helpful! I can definitely sleep with this earplugs it's not comfortable. Have to do a lot of adjustments.
Should have watched your review before I got them, but I will receive them today and see how they are. I like your setup where you tested the sound.
One month later, how are they?
How did it go?
They're just fancy earplugs.
@@thehikersparable9074Well, obviously they just fancy earplugs. But how is the value? Any experience with the other Loop products?

I am similar to you buy only in 1 ear. I’d love to hear how you have found them
@@craigpaterson9085 Actually,, it was my roommate who pointed them out to me.
Do you notice any change between the modes on the switch?
Yes
@@jaikomodo They're more subtle than you think, but there are changes between each mode.

Battery consumption. Earphones have ANC, this does not.
It can’t be just me who hears no difference 🗿
It isn't just you
No I can’t hear a difference either - I feel like it was a waste of money
Hopefully it's just because the testing setup is a prototype and not because the switch is bad.
There’s a difference whilst using it personally. I use these daily and really love the Switch.
Thanks so much for this review. Since I'd wear this for sleeping I'm really thankful you mentioned the comfort level for that!
Thanks to watching too! I'm glad it helped you out since I sleep with earplugs every night.

I'm pretty sure an earplug is way better than buds with ANC (I have Samsung buds 2 pro)

Honestly, I have other earplugs but this is my go-to since I can change it on the fly. That's the biggest selling point
@@NasiLemakTech They've been nice for that but at times I wonder how effective they are. Maybe I need to go down a size
@@vikingjoebloggs3887 yea do experiment with the eartip sizes. I wear them at events now since those speaker systems are way too loud

2 weeks later, how's the real life difference?
I hear no difference in the 3 modes, Loop Quiet 2 is overpriced but good, Loop Switch is ultra overpriced and total gimmick
I promise it’s not, I have it and it’s crazy good
I'm glad I bought them separately
You have to have a complete seal in the plug to hear a difference between the modes
I actually find that there’s a significant difference for me. Are you wearing it right?
On their website they say the engage suppress the "blocked ear" sensation when talking, where you hear yourself very loudly. Did you test that ?
It does feel better to talk to others in Engage mode but definitely still sounds weird when I talk
Do you have a comparison of quiet and switch? Pros and cons of buying it separately

No... It's an earplug
No, if you want Bluetooth get actual earbuds or headphones
