There are so many good ones here, but Troublemaker Copper Patina really stands out to me! Thanks for sharing all these.
Glad you like them! I also really like the Copper Patina and I hope to use it in a pen next month!
this was such a lovely video! so many nice colours. teranishi nostalgic honey is one of my favourite inks :)
I am excited to use Nostalgic Honey in a pen!
I am guessing the green from whatever also goes into Birmingham’s interstellar bronze, especially b/c it is a mixing ink. It ends up with so much sheen it is a green chrome look. But when you rinse it, it is highlighter green. It is a crazy color to rinse out based on what the ink looks like on the page.
@@melindapollmeier2310 it is such a surprise when you dip the nibs in water and see the ink mix!
yay! Love this so much. When I saw you had periwinkle I was like NOOOO!!! hahaha cuz I already mailed your package. I would of found a different purple to send. lol I am really liking Greed and root cellar. Distressed leather is one of my favorite browns. Brilliant brown I think is orange too. I was a little disappointed when I got it home because all the swatches looked different. But that's okay, I will use it in fall 😄. Maybe it will be good for drawing.
Thank you soooooooooo much for these inks, Priscilla! And I do not mind having two samples of Periwinkle!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan It is a really pretty color 😁 and you are so welcome. I love all the inks you sent. I have two inked up this month
I don't own any BPC (Australian) but if I had to choose my absolute favourite from all the many videos I have watched, Waterfront Dusk (& Pennsylvania Fieldstone) would be it. Thank you for sharing all the pretties x
@@DebraDarkandTwisty I love Pennsylvania Fieldstone too! Thanks for watching!
Lots of great colors! Thank you for sharing. What an effort setting up the pages!
I am a huge fan of Birmingham Pen Co. My Kaweco Bronze is always inked up with Eroded Bronze. Distressed Leather is also in my collection. Have you tried their Salamander?
I don’t think I have tried Salamander! So many inks out there to try.
robert oster pink squirrel is in my purple ink section. LOL!!!
😂 Funny how our eyes and colour categories work!
My faves are Lust, Huckleberry, Pride, and Asa Blue.
Ooh all good choices!!
Hi Karyna!
BPC- Scuttlebutt
Troublemaker- Copper Patina
7DS- Lust- despite the sheen it doesn’t seem so bad and I think with the right paper the sheen could be tolerable
BPC- Huckleberry
7DS- Pride
BPC- Eroded Bronze
Diamine-Asa Blue is another one that I really like but the sheen is something I have to be mindful of. I think with the write nib size and paper it could be tolerable.
Diamine- Eau-de-nil is incredibly sharp.
BPC- Distressed Leather is a very nice brown. Worth a try.
Teranishi- Nostalgic Honey is on my list
Pelikan- Brilliant Brown is definitely an orange. Very similar to Lamy Copper Orange at least on screen. It happens to be one of my favorite colors.
I certainly appreciate all the effort you put into these videos. Cutting up the squares of the different papers and everything else really so that we can see this and learn something obviously takes a lot of work.
@@courtneyruss9122 thanks Courtney! I love filming these, even if they do take a bit of prep work!
It's so annoying that I can't get BPC inks in the UK, been wanting that Periwinkle since I saw you swatch it. Hope I'll find a "dupe" 😅 Going to get my dopamine fix for now by getting that Copper Patina, what a stunning colour! And I'm not even into green inks in general.
Are you going to re-swatch your entire ink collection in this format? Cause i'm here for it!
I've only been able to get BPC inks from friends, since there is only one small retailer in Canada who does samples. I don't know if I'll swatch the whole ink collection in this format when my new ink journal for 2025 needs to be created, but who knows?
that distressed leather is not a color i thought id like because i dont really love greenish browns but the way it dries to an almost walnut color is great 😍 i feel the same way about dark browns -- it has to be noticeably brown for me. if i'm gonna use a color that's nearly black, i would rather just use black. that nostalgic honey is exactly my favorite shade 🥰🥰🥰 it's very similar to the honey burst i tried from diamine but looks like it would be far more legible haha
and it's funny you mentioned perception of colors with the brilliant brown because i think that's part of it with colors, part what we see with our eyes and part what we interpret with the information. i can definitely see HOW someone would think brilliant brown is brown, but also, that's a pumpkin orange if i ever saw one 😂😂
I love how colours can be so unique, even within the same colour family! There's something for everyone!
You have inspired me to test my inks on different papers. Have you tried Iroful paper yet. It has some crazy variation from the 22:18 TMR/stalogy options out there. Partially due to its higher GSM no doubt.
@@nancyf2982 I have not! I wanted to try it but did not find it at the SF Pen Show. I may order from Amazon.
Can you share where you got the papers from? I’m in the process of viewing your videos but if you can share your resources I can look into purchasing some. I love the way you created the swatching! Thank you for sharing your experience and ideas.❤
Thanks for watching! The Rhodia was purchased at my local stationery store but is available at most retailers. The Cosmo and Onion Skin were given to me by a friend. And the Bank and Yamamoto Bank papers were purchased at the San Francisco Pen Show from Yamamoto. Hope this helps!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan Yes, thank you.
So happy to see a new video!!!
@@YachtsLiving thank you!!
Nostalgic Honey is one of the most favorite inks from all ~20 orange-light browns that I have. Diamine Sepia is quite close, but has a slightly different behavior.
@@YachtsLiving it’s such a great tone of brown!
Hi karyna, I agree with doing strips of the different papers, but also maybe just write the name once at the top, also would save time.
Yes thank you! I did the strips for an upcoming video and it saved LOADS of time!
Thank you for this video. Loved this❤. Could you tell me more about the first pen nib you used for this video? Did you say speedball? If you had a video about it, could you refer me to it? Thank you in advance?
Yes, it is the Speedball B nib. It comes in a set and I purchased it from Amazon amzn.to/3TjVOwA
The Seven Deadly Sins inks are a Cult Pens exclusive from Diamine and the whole set is less than $40
@@Pym1975 that is a great deal!
I have not been able to get Copper Patina to write in a pen for me, so I gave up. I hope you're more successful because I would love to see how it performs.
Also: Have you tried the Kakimori Steel nib? I wonder if it would suit you more since your writing is smaller?!
I do want to buy a steel nib eventually and see if that works for me. And I'll make sure to put Copper Patina in a wetter pen to see how it writes.
Can you share how you get into fountain pen ink hauls with friends? I am just starting out in Iowa so don’t have pen friends.
❤👍
Hi Cindy I am also in Iowa. Not sure what part you are in, but both Des Moines and Cedar Rapids have fountain pen meet ups!
@@cindyplansherlife most of my pen friends I made online through Instagram or TH-cam. I have also had people reach out offering samples. There are local Facebook groups, as well as the fountain pen Reddit sub.
@@melindapollmeier2310I’m about an hour from Cedar Rapids.
I have a video uploading right now where I made a similar comment about wanting to write a letter on bank paper!
@@thejoyinpensandpaper890 it’s so fun to use isn’t it?
Diamine Eau de Nil isn't a Cult Pens exclusive. I can get it from my Swedish, English and Italian online shops. That Copper Patina is beautiful and that Teranishi Honey looks yummy. I have the Copper Patina on my wishlist but had forgotten about it. 😇🩷🙏🙌
@@sushanart thanks for the info!
Maybe Cult Pens is the North American exclusive retailer?
