You are being way too easy on Family Law Attorneys. You stated, and I quote, "Your divorce lawyer is essential for advising you on the legal aspects of your divorce." Sorry, but they are anything but helpful. I don't care how large your firm is, that is not indicative of providing an honest and committed advocate. I don't know where Cordell & Amp practice law, but. If it is in the state of California, then I seriously doubt that you worth the absurd amount of money a client is required to pay. Family Law Attorneys consistently fail to serve his or her client's best interests. The day that a Divorce Attorney is reliant on contingencies, not retainers, will be the dawning a true advocate. The needs of the client should always be a top priority for every attorney, and every attorney should be required to earn it!

This is the most important you tube video you will ever watch if you are getting a Divorce! Do not take this lightly!
    1. Overlooking a post divorce financial plan
    2. Failing to navigate the tax implications: its what you get to KEEP not what you get! Income tax penalties? Most Atty 's don't educate their clients with the implications!
    3. Investment account implications.
    4. Failure to look for hidden assets.
    5. Neglecting to secure support payments with insurance.

Not to mention how an ex spouse will lie under oath , bring two top lawyers to the table to your one and continue to be vindictive after 4 yrs. incredibly sad

It sounds as though you and I had the same divorce problems. I did the majority of the work and discovery in my case. I cannot understand why it is that Family Law attorneys fail to communicate with his or her clients. It is the client who knows more than anyone, the behavior, and motivation of his or her ex.

Anyone? Where can I get help quickly .. my lawyer filed motion to drop my case after I paid her. $18,5000. Plus $5000 from the first lawyer that made judge. I paid a total of $23,500.00 , after I refused to pay another $5000 for mediation when I already paid that in May of 2021. Mediation was supposed to be on October 13th 2021. She is still sending me bills. Court is October 20th.

Oh my attorney helped me airtight, she helped me right into collections and write offs, how?? Because she insisted i give her authority over the credit cards so that she can take care of them (finally, after complaining for almost after a year that they needed to be addressed) i didn't have access to the mutual money account, he was tho... smh. I was a stay at home mom and v had no income. He did this intentionally so my credit score would plummet down low enough so that i couldn't refi any of our rentals.
That was just a tad of what she did/ didn't do.
And she's taking me to court because she's asking me money fron me..... really?!?! She completely failed me. I still sing even know what I all got for assists..... no clue.. isn't that nice...

5:23 they and especially JUDGES cannot do, and/or I would even say, don’t care to do these steps since they are not FINANCIALLY trained and they, are egos on the bench .
