Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. A trader made over $350k in this recession influenced market.
Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are alot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.
It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with Sophia Maurine Lanting for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Great video! I recently broke into the 100k to 500k range with a lot of my net worth being in my home. Because of this, I imagine operate as if my NW is a lot lower due to a house not being very liquid.
The continuously changing economic conditions in our society have made it necessary for people to find additional sources of income; thus, I am looking at the stock market to fuel my retirement goal of $3 million.
Agreed, despite my rookie knowledge of investing, I have a financial advisor who did the trick in a bit more than 6 months after a lump sum capital of $500,000, and I've so far made a fortune. I'm now buying real estate, gold, and silver as advised by my FA.
I truly appreciate the implementation of ideas and strategies that result in unmeasurable progress, thus the search for a reputable advisor. Mind sharing info of this person guiding you, please?
Keeping some gold is usually a wise decision. You would be better off keeping away from equities for a bit or, even better, seeking advice from an expert given the current market conditions and everything that is at risk with the current economy.
I'm $600k+ at 44 and I still feel broke. Only about $60k is somewhat liquid. To me soneone who has half what I totally have liquid is a little better off. You can't eat a house and your 401k is going to be taxed.
I'm a 26yr old British male living in Vietnam. I only make roughly £1,200 a month on my laptop freelancing no longer than 2 hours a day. I have a year's rent in a beautiful condo, own a yamaha tenere 700 for convenience/fun & never check the price when purchasing anything. You're laughing sitting on $500k+, enjoy your life bro
For a while, my homes were the majority of my net worth. Recently, my investments have been worth more. Home values are so over inflated. But it required my investments to hit a certain amount to really grow.
I’m confident the current market has an equal possibility of making high-value gains or losses, so I'm cautious with my selections; but, I heard that a trader made over $850k in this market, and I could really need ideas on how to achieve similar profits.
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.
No doubt, having the right plan is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and recently hit 100% rise from early last year. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take till Q1 2025.
Credits goes to "Mary Elizabeth Fugelsang" one of the finest portfolio managers in the field. She's widely recognized; you should take a look at her work.
Thanks for the video! I had a question, how long do you invest, when do you cash out or just what do you do later in years with your money? Like you invest till you die or what?
Man, such a real question I love it. Yea it kind of comes down to make more money until you die with those people. If you amount some money, use it to do something that you enjoy. Like start a Passion-Project. If that Project can become a business, great. If you don't have a sense for Business, don't. Also don't get financial tipps on the internet. Don't invest into anything you haven't looked into yourself. Pay real professionals to give you real advice. Check for credibility first.
When mentioning Roth IRA contributions PLEASE mention there is an income limit to who can put money in these! It’s around $140,000. If you make above a certain threshold you have to do a back door Roth.
I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.
Yeah, I would say after 500K liquid net worth (or complete net worth if your primary house isn't part of this equation) you can take advantage of tax loopholes that only the rich get any real use out of, and leverage debt without worrying too much about it (if you have 500K and you take a loan out on a 500K for a rental.... you basically don't need to worry about paying off the mortgage. You got at least 15 years worth of payments in that 500K).
I think this would’ve been the perfect time to also show the dangers of compound interest with that super huge fine Google got from Russia 😂 the fine literally doubled every week and now they owe 10 decillion Russian moneys 💀
@@na-qh2bf Home values that are leveraged by mortgages and thus shouldn't be accounted to net worth? And even if you include it, are we talking global population? 1st world population? US population? California population? The latter seems the only realistic one, and even that is doubtful.

Glad to have stumbled on this conversation. Please can you leave the info of your investment advisor here? I'm in dire need for one.

Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I needed this myself, I looked her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.

Net worth is not the same as gross income. Thanks Vincent. I am always learning from you.

$1MM is no longer enough to retire even in a LCOL area. Should definitely start expanding our horizons...

$500k+ is top 21% of the population? Are you talking about Saudi royal family population??? You're top 5% easily, probably top 1%.
You'll be surprised how many silent half millionaires there are dring beat down cars, living very modest life.
This is net worth not salary, and given that the average shitty home in California is 800k+, 21% is very unsurprising.
