I've watched almost all of these ads when I was a kid. Didn't think it could somehow trigger people that it could be banned. Interesting.

Many of these commercials were banned for very petty reasons. It's funny how serious people can be when they're supposed to take things lightheartedly, and the opposite applies to more pressing matters like monumental blunders of government officials.
I agree yung kay Cristine Reyes. It objectified her. I think may other beer commercials pa nga about "ang totoong lalaki" or whatever na good riddance got removed kasi it did not sit well with people

most of the ads that were banned here are cute and harmless though.. I mean, why would they ban the 'BF-GF' commercial of mcdo and the 'Da Da'? It does not really encourage dishonesty and bribery, my parents would always do that to me when I was a kid, and also a lot of us Filipinos experienced it. They're just being childish or dahil sa sapul o bulls-eye sa kanila yung commercial..
The only one that was rightfully banned was that beer ad with Christine Reyes
I think the reason why they had to relate LBC in a spelling bee contest is to highlight that the name of one of their major competitors MLhuillher is hard to spell.

Thanks for this compilation. I wanted to record commercials myself just to archive them. I thought of this because I couldn't find old commercials on the internet and may be lost forever. That was way back in 2002 lol. I wish I had done that. Good job on this archival effort and I like you added some presentation to them, giving some info about them.

@Joe Rogaine this was 9 months ago i can't recall the videos and not planning to rewatch them. I probably said that out of personal opinion. But I'm pretty sure there's a regulating body for the ads we see on tv. You can ask them for the grounds for banning these ads.

I do remember one very offensive, actually racist ad. It was an ad for some food product that included a man with an Indian accent speaking in Tagalog, talking about how the product was 'five-six' (five of the product for six pesos, I think). He kept repeating 'five-six' throughout the commercial, as if it were some meditation/'snake-charming' gimmick. Can anyone recall what I'm talking about, and point a link to the video?

Some of these ads aired for a long time. The Hello Billy and Lapu-Lapu went on and on. They might have received complaints but were not banned.

Voice Combo Sandwich is also controversial (the one with Sam Pinto).
Why? It showcases bullying, selfishness, and disrepect for women.
In the ad we see a group of men taunting Sam Pinto having Voice Combo Sandwich and one of the boys tease him that he will not give her some no matter how beautiful she is. But Sam responds she has the same snack and says to the guy "Zipper mo bukas"
