I got a good laugh out of the narrator’s voice change over Kansas City at 5:30 😂 turned from English received pronunciation to something like a Spanish or Cuban accent!
The photos would have more impact if they had been taken from the same spot and at the same angle. We could then compare the before and after more closely.
Very interesting. I like how the different cities have changed. Austin, Texas have changed a lot. Their skyline have developed into a beautiful "postcard" view.
Great historical photo memories. The narration is off though... I assume the before is when the building or area was developed and not the date of the photo.
16:08. Pittsburgh, Lord God, Pittsburgh. It used to look the like surface or the moon or possibly Mordor. Not so much as a sprout of a living thing. These hillsides are now covered in invasive trees (mostly tree of heaven with some black locusts.) It's still not a beautiful city by any means, but it's got personality. The absolute worst slums are long gone, but there are still thousands of pokey, misshapen little houses from that era. When you're in Pittsburgh, you know you're nowhere else but Pittsburgh, for better or worse.
Jut a slight correction - Prescott, AZ is pronounced to sound like biscuit! I lived in Phoenix most,of my,life and many people are not aware of this unusual pronunciation!!! Minor but important!
@@wbcc0817 I lived in Phoenix for most of my life and I wrote this somewhere else awhile back! I’m with you about the pronunciation! I always tell people it sounds like “biscuit”!!!! I always liked to go to Prescott - is it much bigger now? Last time my husband and I stayed in the old hotel on the corner (can’t remember the name - San something?? It was when Princess Diana died - 1997 August. We left Phoenix in 2003!
@sandybruce9092 It's grown quite a bit over the years, but I'm not out there anymore. Relocated to the Midwest for a new start in life. The only corner hotels I can remember are the Hassayampa and Hotel St. Michael on Gurley St.
@@sandybruce9092 No problem. I was a Domino's driver in Prescott for 3 years, so those places are ingrained in my skull from delivering to both more times than I'd care to admit 😄
Weakest shit ever is calling the Alamo the Alamo when in reality it was an out building of the ACTUAL Alamo. It was the armory. It set behind this structure off a bit. At best it should be called the grounds of where the Alamo once stood with a historical armory building still standing.
It would've been nice if the camera was positioned in the same area now as it was back then.
I Ford Pinto in Vegas early 1900s!
Great!

6:50 - Miami's Ocean Drive 1920s with futuristic 1970s automobiles parked in front of the Colony Hotel!
Excellent subject for a vid. More please❤

love cleveland great place to visit
Old Times Square was incredibly beautiful!!
Love your channel but please remove the little flickering and floating flecks from the screen. They are very distracting to people with poor eyesight.
Wow! They had cars in Houston in 1836!! lol
"Vegas, early 1900's", with a Ford Maverick sitting in the foreground. I don't think so! At 13:50
Glad it wasn't a Pinto getting rear ended. Because .....you know if you're old like me LOL. The kids won't get it.
that is actually 1979 lol
I think it's when the area or building was developed. I know... it's off 🤨
The strip, in its rawest form wasn’t even constructed until the 1950s. The casinos shown weren’t built until the 1960s.
The photo at 8:15 is from the early 1960's 😂‼️. There was NO President Kennedy in 1836😂‼️.
Some of the worst then and now photos, you couldn't even get close to the right angles of the now pictures, do better.
Houston 1836, with a sign hanging over the street that says welcome President Kennedy, really?? Didn't believe most of the pictures and dates!
The then pictures So much better than the now pictures
Great historical photo memories. The narration is off though... I assume the before is when the building or area was developed and not the date of the photo.
Kansas City looked more interesting back then!
Yea I enjoy the channel but get rid of that flickering
Why does "the Miami 1920s" photo have 1970s - 80s era cars?
8:12 "Houston's Main Street, 1836..."
Wow, I didn't know Kennedy was actually president in 1836
President Kennedy visited Houston in the 1800s!?

Being born and raised there, I grew up with the saying "we call it Preskitt". Drives me nuts when I hear scott instead of skitt 😂

Says 75 then and now
Those insects flying around (or whatever that is) in the peripheral is distracting.
2:32 thats not 1893 theres cars everywhere man. Do you just make everything up as you go along?
What do you mean by bring back memories? If you were there when most of the 1st pictures were taken you're dead.

Sorry - I know this is an AI voice but it’s Ro-day-O drive spelled Rodeo! Isn’t it possible for AI to learn???
its actual name really is rodeo (I grew up in LA) calling row day oh is a chic adaptation to distant it from backwards cowboy culture.
ole rotten Gotham
Is this all the channel is? Before and after pics?
Yes
Yes! Yiu have a problem? Go away if you don’t like them - !!!
I really enjoy when the old and new pictures are side by side!
@@sandybruce9092 Me too. I always pause and look for the similarities and differences. Very interesting.
