This recommendation popped up early in my day and i still had 9 hours of work and a 1h drive home in front of me - i couldnt be more excited to hear your take on that shoe. I bought the prequel-shoe on your recommendation and i fell in love with it!
Been using the Mizuno momentum for the past month and by far my favorite shoe so far
Love the last 2 versions of the Dame line; while the looks haven't been amazing, they have fit my feet perfectly.

Hey Donny could you test out the ASICS sky elite ff? I see them worn by a lot of pros but I want an in depth review. You do them really well.

Would love to see the Dame 6 review given that they supposedly did LightStrike much better in it than Harden Vol 4 or N3XT L3V3L. Would also like to see what you think about the newest Mizuno and Asics (Wave Momentum and Sky Elite FF) since they seemed to have changed up their designs quite a bit, especially Mizuno. The Nike vs Adidas depends on player and court. Nike has better traction usually, but you can't really feel the Zoom units in their vball shoes (say, compared to a Lebron 11 or Kobe 7/11/AD NXT). Hear that a lot of their cheaper bball shoes have the same issue of the "zoom" branding without it really helping. Adidas has more impact protection but less court feel and a bit heavier... Currently though, using a Frankenstein mix of insoles, arch support orthotics, and mid~high top basketball shoes. Extreme example is a D Rose 6 (1 size up) with either Lebron 11 midsole or extra thick / double stacked insoles (say gel based ones or Boost-like Hefe Luxx). I think my knees needing that is a sign I should just stop playing...

What is your favorite men's volleyball shoe right now?
For his favourite shoe, I think it's still the kobe VI (from 4 years ago), but for the volleyball specialized shoe, probably Mizuno Wave Momentum (he uploaded it 2 days ago) ☺

That pattern with almost no grip for side-to-side movement is just a no-go

What do you think of the Nike Metcon 5 for volleyball?
I do a lot of defense, and the last shoe I had slid around too much. And also the fabric on the shoe wore out quickly, so my foot was sliding around in the shoe.... so I bought the metcon5 for the cage it has and the traction. So far so good?
Stephanie Gonzalez oh girl no. Definitely not. Metcons are designed for CrossFit workouts in mind. They allow for foot stability while lifting. The grip might be fine but there shock absorption you get for CrossFit Is very different than what you need for volleyball. Find a different shoe please! Plus metcons are cut very low. I own the metcons and I would never play volleyball in them. I use Kobe’s AD.
Nike is just better cause they mastered cushion. just try the kd 12 or pg4
Nike said they run small, I wear size 10 men, in women I’m 11.5 I guess so if I buy size 12 in women would be ok for men, any idea if I’m correct

Hey coach! I've recently sprained my ankle....which volleyball shoes do you recommend for me to buy?
Should they be deep with a good grip?
I personally went with KB Mentality 2 basketball shoes. They have a deep cup for good isolation on the ball of your foot to prevent rolling your ankle. Wonderful grip.
I have a history of serious ankle sprains and my number one footwear recommendation is a good pair of ankle braces (if you don’t have them already). As long as you feel the brace supports you enough to prevent injury , you can really wear whatever shoes you’ve traditionally enjoyed using.

@@michaelmessier5998 I've read that ankle braces can weaken your ankle over time... Is it still good to use them?
Najjace Provale I must warn you that I am not an expert when it comes to this, but I think that the main issue with braces is that they restrict your normal range of motion (which is a good thing most of the time, preventing many injuries), but can lead to weaker ankles over time if the full range is not exercised often. I personally combat this by playing most non-volleyball sports with my ankles free of braces, which helps keep the full joints moving. I would recommend doing some research and talking to a physiotherapist if you can to help make the right decision for you.

All Volleyball, Inc. I’ve had my first pair of these shoes for 4 months now. The shoe has lost its grip and became very slippery. I bought another pair due to that fact. Any suggestions to improve the grip for the new hyperace 2 I ordered?

Anyone know how these fit for men’s? I’ve seen they fit small and recommend going .5 up
They are a little more snug than the usual shoe, but I haven't wide feet and they felt fine. The material will eventually shape your foot if you give it time to break it so you can order your normal size
