Thank you for sharing this! I think you made the right decision to throw before you started into some kind of crazy dive. You radio reported your situation, and you were able to pull in the main as you came in. I didn't get the impression that you were out of control. Glad you were able to clean up your mess, and re-pack your reserve to fly down. Great story. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Thanks for giving my adrenals a good work out. Good decision process, and pulling in the glider was definitely smart once under the chute. Glad you're alright.
Wow, your landing was very gentle compared to mine! My wing was downplaning and I had no time to reel it in, hit VERY hard. Bravo on the repack and fly! If I ever have to throw again my number 1 priority will be to stop the downplaning.
(google translation) My first flight in Fiesch in 2001: After landing, a colleague said that he had to pull the rescue and landed on the mountain pasture. And while he was packing up the rescue, the next pilot came down on the rescue parachute!
Wow that's the first time I've seen someone actually be able to pull their main in under reserve. Most of the time they are still getting too much lift out of the main to be able to pull it in. Good job.
With that big cravatte at the middle of the wing it was not that hard. In any case, if the main is in pressure, you can simply pull on the A and collapse it. Trying to pull it to you just by taking the whole riser will not work as mentioned from you
That was exciting. Scared the poop out of me. I was thinking about paramotor training but i dont think i could handle that much excitement. Glad your ok.
Ray Harkins PPG happens near dawn or sunset in calm air, at least for your first few years. The reflex wing will not collapse. Go for it! Even PG can be collapse free if you stay out of thermic air. And reserve parachutes work.
+Ray Harkins, when paramotoring you generally spec your wing to be far more loaded than when paragliding, consequently the additional weight means that a collapse is far less likely. Plus as said above, PPG is done when weather isn't thermally (for beginners at least) and consequently you're flying in much calmer air. GO FOR IT!
Caedmon Mullin from thermal to a downwash. The change was not predictable and the whole wing came down but without collapsing. Main problem then was a double twist
Hi, are you aware that your video was re-uploaded by another TH-cam channel and published with the title "Paragliding crash! Reserve parachute HD" ? Did you give permission? Sorry if you were already aware.
Bel video! Buona continuazione!
No. I had to improvise a container with the bag where I susually put the glider, some strings and a carabiner. Not really sure it would work, but I was hoping not to have to throw it again the same day. Flew out, then with only two thermals (10km) back to the landing
The air sure looked pretty unstable considering the look of the clouds. A hang glider could handle a big downdraft with ease. IMHO paragliders should only be flown in very stable air. A rigid airframe sure has advantages over a completely flexible one.

The little xctrack ding after he landed tho haha
Omg... i was bit terrified to see... Thank God you landed safely
Dude, why did you cut out the reason behind this rescue???
why not show the actual incident ?
Grande Tiziano! bel recupero e sangue freddo! super!

Thank you guys for the explanation. It does look fun. I will watch and learn more and see how i feel. Thanks
Well done! Fly safe!

Very fast fall. Did it hurt?
Bravo 👏
Why'd you cut part of the video out?
Noca cui lindo
What’s with the sleeping bag for your legs? I didn’t use that back in the 1990’s, it wasn’t that cold. You’re up there to fly, not go camping.
wow , thanks for sharing :) glad to see you ok :)
What was the nature of the collapse (I also fly the XA2)?
Caedmon Mullin from thermal to a downwash. The change was not predictable and the whole wing came down but without collapsing. Main problem then was a double twist
Exciting! Glad you had plenty of height and came away uninjured :-)
a quick out carabiner is not bad:-)
What ADVANCE model? 👍🏻
Omega X alps 2 22 🤙🏻
Tiziano Di Pietro Rules! My last wing was an Omega 5. I still have it with me stored. Saludos.

Nelson's Wings hi. No I'm not. Can you please give me the link?
TH-cam won't let me paste the link, but try searching for the title. If you can't find it, plesse email me at buzzzeefive at gmail
Nelson's Wings found it. Thank you for the advice

Michele Ren と
perche hai fatto emergenza? eri molto alto non sei riuuscito a riprendere la vela??
Why your rescue seems so small? :)
It's not small. It's a firebird turbistopp 100. Maybe because of the fisheye of the gopro
2:54 Put hand- dangerous!

Hello Tiziano, if you trow the reserve next time, kill the reserve immediately and then call your friends. But good job!
Well done.
Is the beep a stall warning?
well done
You left out the interesting part? That's the part where we can learn something...
Gianni Seghers unfortunately I have not filmed it. I started the gopro once I was hanging under the rescue
Tiziano Di Pietro hey what's the length and breadth of your paraglider in meters?
,,After repacking the rescue I could manage to fly back to Fiesch.´´ You always fly with an extra Container and handle? :D :D

Good joke :)
