Thanks for posting this! Wanna get a set of Mullard EL-34 power tubes now. I too have an A-10 and a Orbit. I just popped in a set Mullard 12AX7 preamp tubes (using adapters), and a Tung-Sol 5AR4 rectifier tube. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I'm still really enjoying the Mullard power tubes, and I may get some adapters for the preamp tubes at some point. There are so many different 12AX7s to try out.

i'm in agreement with you because I've tried those ones too.
I've settled down for the longest time, after I put in a pair of Nesstone EL 34's.
They sound right and the price was right.

I been using kt66 lately with jj rectifier and Russian preamp boosting with my Bellari preamp it kicks ass

Adding an EQ have better sound scaping? Less hustle from tube swapping

I think an EQ could be very helpful for smoothing out the sound with some tubes, but tube swapping allows you to fundamentally change the sound in ways that you couldn't with an EQ alone.

@@nadiraudio I used a tube preamp with EQ, gives it an up front boost, sounds louder now plus the sound scaping from EQ. I'm happy with the results.
