They should have worked the dialogue between Al and Peggy to emphasize that Al was jealous of Andy, but not because of his relations with Peg, but because of his "wife"'s cooking.
If Al doesn't care then why did he look for her? Of course he was jealous. Besides: The fact that he didn't punch the other man prooves that he trusts Peggy. He knows that Peggy would never kiss another man.
