    Love this! Congrats on the new role! Always wanted to get into management consulting, how easy or difficult is it to get in once you've graduated from uni and have a few years work experience. Most people I've come across got in immediately after uni.
    Any idea what skills they look for the most with regards to people who already have some form of work experience... eish!

      Hey Kim!
      Thank you 😊
      It really just depends on your skills and experience. If you have the skills necessary to do the job then go for it.
      It’s not that difficult, the only thing you need to keep in mind is skills and experience.
      You can do it!

    Hi ! Hope you are well . Can I ask? Do you think its possible to go straight into consulting after graduating with an LLB degree( seeing that alot of graduate programs require one to have a degree in economics, psychology, engineering etc) or you think it's better to apply for the graduate programs that cater for LLB holders then switch to consulting?

    • @YolandiPietersen
      @YolandiPietersen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say apply for consulting programmes and LLB too. You can always register for a post graduate diploma in business management when joining consulting

    Congratulations sis 🎉 you’re so deserving. 💃🏾 I wanted to make a video request if you can, to interview someone that transitioned from a different profession all together e.g. Engineering or Medicine etc, into Management consulting and how the transition was.

      Hey sis!
      Thank you so much! Okay, I will have to look for someone, majority of my close contacts went straight into consulting and transitioned out. Will get my feelers out though ❤️

    Hi Yolandi, can I ask if it's possible to for me to go into management consulting if I studied strategic management? I have seen most companies require economics, finance and accounting for consulting and I am worried.

    • @YolandiPietersen

    Hi Yolandi I have a question for you
    If hypothetically, a soon to be engineering graduate had an offer for a prestigious tier 1 consulting firm and a very prestigious CIB banking program
    Which opportunity would make sense starting out as someone unsure of their career trajectory and how easy is it to exit into banking if you start in consulting?
    Thank you

      Hi, as someone who's worked in 'industry' and now in consulting I would say go with consulting. It'll help you figure out what you want to do for your career much better. Much more exposure at a higher level. And it looks better on your CV (more coveted I've been told). Benefits are also major. You can aim to work with banking while in consulting and that makes exiting to banking very easy.

    Hi, what do you think of doing a Master in Business Analytics to be a management consultant in the future?

    • @YolandiPietersen
      @YolandiPietersen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very good degree but give me some context. Are you working right now or studying?

      @@YolandiPietersen I’m juts studying, and I don’t have experience but I’m interested in the career

    • @YolandiPietersen
      @YolandiPietersen  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Gabriel-lg8ik I would suggest get your degree or honours, which ever you busy with right now. Go work, find what you interested in then do masters in that or even an MBA after like 3-4 years of working.
