I’m soooo glad you’re going back to the old format for wrap ups. I can’t put my finger on why, but they’re just so much more enjoyable when it’s one big wrap up at the end of the month so yay.
I still need to catch up on the ATLA comics! So behind 😭 Also, Check, Please was the cutest and I want Bitty to be my BFF. And I thought Sadie was so intense, but also impossible to put down!
I'm actually really happy that you're going back to monthly wrap-ups because I was feeling that I couldn't keep track and was afraid I was missing some. I really want to read Name of the Wind but I don't know if I want to start the series before the 3rd book is out or at least has a publishing date. I agree that he needs the time but I need to be sure it's going to happen!! ;) Can't wait to get to Sadie, I really have to put it on my end-of-year TBR!! and I love long videos so no problem hehe
Monthly works for me! I like doing them for myself as well and I don't even have a channel--though I do Blog! Sadie sounds even more interesting when you talk about it. Too bad about the Hocus Pocus book. I love that so much Hocus Pocus stuff is out, esp the Funkos! Though they are now on preorder so won't get them until before Christmas :(
I can’t wait to read The Name of the Wind!!! I picked it up awhile back. But I’m afraid to start it until the next book comes out. That being said, I feel like I just need to bite the bullet. I know I’ll love it!!
I'm excited for you to get to more of your video ideas! Plus now you've tried the Recent Reads style so you know what works for you :) Also I always love your wrap ups, so longer doesn't bother me! I'm glad you liked the Joe Abercrombie series ender! I'll have to get to his books soon
At least the Hocus Pocus book would make a good Halloween decoration LOL. Thank you for the video. I just got Sadie from the library today! I am hoping to read it next week. I would also like to read Listen to Your Heart but that is going to be a long ways off.
I have read two Neil Gaiman books, The Graveyard Book and The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and loved both. I've been meaning to get American Gods,, but decided to read those two first since then they were shorter. Now, though, I have the desire to read Good Omens, that he wrote with Terry Pratchett.
I really want to get into reading the Avatar graphic novels because I recently have began watching the show and I have loved it! Also want to read Name of the Wind because it looks really good. Great wrap up!
Have you read Nightblood yet? Did I miss your review? I just finished Frostblood and Fireblood back to back and I can't wait to read Nightblood (unfortunately, I am on hold for it). I am just itching to hear what you thought. I love your wrap up videos so much!! 💜
I wouldn’t worry too much about how to rate the art and story of a graphic work. I think it’s akin to a writing style and a plot of a regular novel if that makes sense. Even with that, sometimes the writing is solid, but the dialogue feels stiff which is another factor in both books and comics. I guess that’s how I rationalize rating graphic works.
I see what you're saying! I have a couple of friends who are comic book artists and after hearing them rant about reviewers who don't speak enough about the artwork or factor it into the star rating when it's such a huge part of the story I've been a bit traumatized from reviewing graphic works.
Super Space Chick Oh wow! Yeah I always make a point to talk about the art work though. Haha I don’t know how anyone would be able to talk about a graphic work without talking about the art. I’m thinking about how everyone really liked the art of Low back when it first came out, but not many liked the actual story. The reason I didn’t love the Wicked + the Divine volume 3 was because the artwork was all over the place with some artists being great while others were not my favored style. Also the story was random in that one lol
I'm not surprised about The Hocus Pocus book. Books that are directly written based on movie or show are rarely good in my experience. It's like the author took the script and translated it into a novelization.
I recently listened to thee "Coraline" audiobook and I thought the music was creepy, but not in a good way. I usually don't like music on audiobooks because I like listening to them on double speed.
You make me really consider to take a reread of the Name of the Wind into my TBR. And I agree, Coraline is just such a good read.
I love that you’ve gone back to monthly wrap ups! Do what’s best for you :).
Thank you
Yes i am so happy that you are going back to monthly wrap ups!! 🙌🎉

I honestly like monthly wrap-ups more. I’m glad you went back to it. 😊
Coraline was my first Neil Gaiman too and I also loved it! that edition is gorgeous 🧡 really need to read The Name of the Wind!

Thank you for your thoughts on Sadie. I am going to pick this one up this weekend.

Oh that's totally understandable! It was creepy enough at normal speed!
Saw I had a notification in my notification bar. You had only uploaded it 45 seconds earlier.
Hahaha yay!
