I thought the 8th gym leader would be Bill he took you to the Sevii islands in an attempt to distract you from going to his gym because he knew you and the powerful Peecko would crush him
I could be wrong, but I think that Dragonite has the hidden ability Marvel Scale. It takes less damage from moves when it has 100% hp, which is why it was surviving ice beam.
Quick gg and chillinplay just did a typelock vs. you can do a typelock playthrough of a certain gen or rom. Next Pokemon cought has to share a same type as previous Pokemon cought/obtained.
Gen2 with Jigglypuff. I wasn't able to beat Red without items but I'd also skipped over learning its best move thinking I'd learn it with a movie tutor if I needed it (hint: that didn't exist in Silver that I was playing)
All the critical hits at the right time and the frozen solid Blastoise make me think about a sentence I've read somewhere: "Simply lucky: all luck, no skill". Anyway, for people who won't understand this, it's just a joke. Good job overall 👍
Tion yeah, I forgot this point 😅 When I see the final results, I don't think about all the previous attempts. And of course, when you try many times, at a moment, you get the luck you couldn't have before (it reminds me my statistics course ^^)
**sigh** Don't depend on Double team for literally every single challenge. It's not a legitimate strategy (unlike stuff like Toxic stalling, Substitute, etc.) and you can pretty much do it for every Pokemon that learns it.

Your opponents are basically sitting ducks if they cannot attack you, therefore nullifying the challenge aspect to it. It turns all the fights into extreme luck on if your opponent can hit you or not while you can hack away at the Pokemon freely. Worst comes to worst, you can PP stall and knowingly have an advantage. Think of it this way: Every Pokemon that can learn Double Team can just be invincible (given enough extreme luck) and easily carry their way to the end of the runs. Their bad defenses (or stats in general) would not matter if they take no damage. There is literally no strategy if Double Team is used. It's the same thing as spamming items in battle. By that reasoning, you can prove that any Pokemon that learns Double Team can beat a Pokemon game. It's more intriguing if strategy is used to make it through the hardest battles. Counterclaim: It's 1 versus 5 or 6, and your opponents have 4 total items in battle. Rebuttal: The whole basis of these challenges is that you're not _meant_ to play the game with just 1 Pokemon; being at disadvantages like those _makes_ the stuff challenging. Adding Double Team into the mix (same with Minimize and to a lesser extent, Flash/Sand Attack/Smoke screen) nullifies the challenges completely.
