@@clanakahatiWizards are great...if you have a GM that actually gives you a ton of spells, which is their primary advantage. They have access to far more spells than any other class, and can swap them out daily, but they're supposed to have to find them beyond their allotment through leveling. Too many GMs completely forget that, which removes the biggest reason to use them over a different class.
In BG1 and BG2 Bards were great because they got decent access to wizard spells and weapons which meant they were reasonably functional in the early game before you got a full party. In BG3, and 5e, they are way more specialized but still very good. They get overlooked way too much.
The most entertaining review I've witnessed of the most entertaining game I've ever played. Well done! Using music from the BG I & II? Utter perfection.

@HenriqueErzinger don't think that's likely at all. Larian is probably past the point where they'd pay for a license let alone pay twice(DnD and CR). In a similar way we'll never see Fromsoft make another Bloodborne because Sony owns the rights and Fromsoft has no reason to limit creative freedom, sales or profits when they know they'll be successful without anyone else's creative or financial backing.
@@CC-of5xlI mean, they’re probably quite flush with cash off the BG3 sales, so if they wanted to do an Exandria game they could- I’d prefer if they went to an original setting, though, since the D&D rule set kinda feels limited compared to DOS2
@@laurelkeeper yeah but why would they pay someone else for their IP when any IP they create now will have similar if not higher value? The only IPs that would increase their audience size at this point would be Disney level IP. If it's a smaller IP they'd either want full creative control or be given funding to make it with an offer of a percentage of sales back. Now that is something I could see though. A crowd funding and early access with CRs backing might actually be big enough to increase the scope of the game which could help offset a long dev cycle their costs now are probably 5-10x a year higher than when they 1st started developing BG3 due to the increase in team size.
It's much easier for me at least. You still have party of 4, you just control every one of them, so there is no misunderstandings. I also prefer it, because companions like to tell something in dialogues and I want to hear as much as I can. They are really great broken people and I can't think of them as friends of sorts, like after reading really good book. Coop, on first playtrough at least, with all of its goofiness, seems like inviting Ronald McDonald to one of the most beautiful stories you'll ever play. You can, but some things, some atmosphere and decorum, tastes best in solitude.
@firion666 that's actually very nice to hear, I just have to really dive into the mechanics and hope I don't get lost hehe, that's the only thing I'm concerned with
@@Nokard Game does good job with explaining as long as you don't exit tutorials. Also, there is many beginner friendly DnD mechanics videos on TH-cam, if you still feel a little lost. Generally, you roll d20 everytime when you want to check if you can do something. Rolled number + modifiers must be at least equal to DC of the roll - in dialogues you see it as a number over the dice, in a battle as a percentage showing up. When you deal damage you roll types and number of dices defined in weapon or spell description (1d12+1). The brackets (in this example 2-13) shows you exactly the same info, so you don't need to know every single dice type. Learning about possibilities is also big part of the game, so here I'm going to stop, but, as I said, if you prefer to know, you will find those who teach :3 I hope you will have fun and love this game as much as I do.
You can always lower the difficulty. No shame. It's a single player game and about what you want to experience. You can adjust the difficulty anytime as well. I recommend you watch some BG3 tips and tricks tutorials or the "things I wish I knew" etc etc.
You should Play Torment Planescape, literally the pinnacle of Narrative, Characterization, Plot, and Environment in any game and its another D&D game. The Nameless One, the lead character is a character that cannot permanently die(there are ways if you piss off the wrong entities), but when he does he loses his memories, your first companion is a floating skull named Mort, You get a Gith called Dakkon that is a martial artist, Annah a sexy teifling thief, Ignis a perpetually on fire mage, Fall from Grace a succubus priest only interested in the mind, It become a collective of misfits.
The only problem with this video is that it's too short :D I would just get engrossed into your guys Baldurs Gate experience for hours! Such a great game already absolutely explodes when players have real chemistry
So glad to know that you're having fun with BG 3! It has even more opportunities than Divinity 2 - for those who love story, who love challenge and combat, those who love optimizing build or collecting items, those who love weird humour and some NSFW content. The game exceeded my expectations! I played Divinity 2 with a friend and it was so much fun. However, it didn't work for me with BG 3 - he couldn't adjust to my playstyle, and I wanted to read/listen to all the stuff available... spent like 100 hours in Act 1 alone) Because the game has so much to offer!
you can't expect me to honour D&D rules if you give me the ability to save scum, i'm saving before the fight. i'm saving after the fight. i'm saving before a random conversation. i'm saving after that conversation. and if i'm on PC you bet your arse i'm modding it to make it even easier to rack up approval points
The video was really enjoyable, and I watch all the videos but I'm starting to feel like the review part has basically taken a back seat as of late? Anyway, looking forward to more, and hoping for a bit more review amongst the enjoyable humour :)
Love your content! I see so much of your boyfriend in my own experience. My girlfriend used to shy away from challenging games, always reinforcing the self-imposed belief that "she can't handle it." That all changed with Hogwarts Legacy where she unleashed her inner "Dark Souls spirit" 😂. We even bumped the difficulty up to hard (considering we played Kena on Story mode). I started hearing things from her like, "Lockpicking could be more challenging," or "Why are these enemies so easy?" and even "It'd be cool if you had limited tries to unlock a chest, and then it's locked forever." I have a feeling Baldur's Gate 3 will be a similar experience. Looking forward to it.

Learning about possibilities is also big part of the game, so here I'm going to stop, but, as I said, if you prefer to know, you will find those who teach :3
I hope you will have fun and love this game as much as I do.
You can always lower the difficulty. No shame. It's a single player game and about what you want to experience. You can adjust the difficulty anytime as well. I recommend you watch some BG3 tips and tricks tutorials or the "things I wish I knew" etc etc.
Not really, the game is easy if you just Google the shit you don't understand. 😂
i needed this reminder that i could just get karlach to throw my little gnome to places she can’t reach
BG2's music was a nice touch. 🙂
Subscribed. One minute into your review and you're using Baldur's Gate II music. I'm sold.
Really good video! you guys had me laughing and gasping for air 😂
I literally laughed out loud at the Professor Oak part omg😂😂😂😂
I actually am proud of his 4 star jpeg
4:30 this sounds legitimately beautiful! Please, sing a full version!
I want to play it so bad, sadly my computer is too shit, so I will have to wait until I buy the ps5
“…It’s a 64-pixels-wide little square jpeg that he’s very proud of…”, people are loving jpegs nowaday
To this day my gaming buddy and I quote to each other “No one has as many friends as the man with many cheeses!!”
(That may have been Divinity 1 tho?)
@@pmarreck Hilarious! Yes, it's from the marketplace in Divinity 1))
Is that AI Hermoine saying "Lohssaa"? :o Amazing times we leave in.
This review is comedy gold. Honestly the best review ive seen of this game. You're funny af
I very much appreciate the John Mullaney bit at 4:10 😂😂😂😂
I would love to see these two play a Tabletop rpg campaing.
HOW THE HELL YOU MADE YOUR AVATAR SO SIMILAR TO YOU!!!??
It probably wasn't supposed to make me laugh as much as it did, but seeing Shelby's name spelled as Shebly got me giggling for a hot minute.
Honestly, not only he should play it, you should play it too
you can't expect me to honour D&D rules if you give me the ability to save scum, i'm saving before the fight. i'm saving after the fight. i'm saving before a random conversation. i'm saving after that conversation. and if i'm on PC you bet your arse i'm modding it to make it even easier to rack up approval points
We are the DM's now and we declare thou shall have easily identifiable affinity bars through mods!
super glad yall used the cones of dunshire clip from parks and recreation.
I still have no idea how a single clip of an Elf having sex with a bear sold this game into the main stream, AND I'M A GOD DAMN FURRY!
It's the squirrel's reaction that does it.
@@KenS1267 yeah it was absolutely the squirrel's fault 😂
3:05 holy shit a slappy and the stinkers reference... now that brings back memories
This video had me dying 😂
I can't wait to see what shenanigans my brother and I get up to while playing
2:14 you can hear the sadness in that “Oooh”
The video was really enjoyable, and I watch all the videos but I'm starting to feel like the review part has basically taken a back seat as of late?
Anyway, looking forward to more, and hoping for a bit more review amongst the enjoyable humour :)
You literally said you were SHROOMING and got lost in character creation
Let us know how it went!
Just found your channel. Normally I let videos play in the background. You made me stop and watch with your perfectly utilized parks and recreation clips. You’re amazing. Keep it up
I am trying SOOO HARD to convince my fiance to play. Oh well glad you guys enjoyed it.
im in the same boat sis, he wont play with me!!
Didn't you show them this video?
You Can't Take The Sky From Me!! - Starfield
Fighting over Astarion? Good taste.
It's weird how perfect the scenes from TV shows or movies set in to these videos 😂
I would love some Mort&Shebly Baldur's gate story times every now and then.
LMAOOO "First 5-90 minutes" I died
Belgium is the GOAT
These edits were killing me! I felt like I was sitting down listening to a comedy special 10/10!
