Superb! I specifically ordered a Syntakt to do ambient music. Just got a notification that my order is ready for pickup. Gonna be a fun weekend, despite the fact that I fell down my basement stairs yesterday and have microscopic pieces of glass stuck in both hands! Hahah thanks EZBOT!
Yikes!! My buddy fell on a sea urchin once. They had to splay open several fingers and his palm to pick out those brittle spine bits. It was agony. They basically had to deconstruct and reconstruct his hand. No nerve damage thank goodness. I never saw the bill.
@@mntbighker thank goodness there were no sea urchins in my basement. Just an empty pickle jar in my hand when I fell. It kinda feels now how it is if you barehand insulation. Tiny sharp fibers. No fun. But my Syntakt is here so that will make things better.

Nice! If you're familiar with the game Hyper Light Drifter, this sounds quite like something from its soundtrack. (even if not, I highly recommend grabbing the soundtrack) I must have a Syntakt soon :)

Wonderful jam! This is the nicest ambient I've heard on it yet. I've been spending the past couple days just playing around with it mostly and some of the textures it can make are just fantastic. The noise and impulse utilities can make some really nice sounds, especially noise.
Also I always forget to use the track volumes as a performance tool, thanks for the reminder!

Just snagged my Syntakt the other day and was looking for some inspiration. Awesome work! Have mine hooked up with the midi tracks going into an SP404 MK2 for samples. Figured the SP404MK2 is an amazing sample beast, just lacks a sequencer... So Elektron box to the rescue! Thinking of getting a Digitone to round out the portable performance rig, but maybe just a Volca FM2 will do the trick. Anyway! So many other videos just focus on drum loops, so I'm glad to see something other than percussive cacophony loops on this thing, great work.

I just ordered a Syntakt. I can't wait to get it. I would love to have a few of the other Elektron boxes too, but the Syntakt is a good match for my current setup. I've never used an Elektron box yet, so I'm looking forward to it. Just curious if anyone would recommend the Digitakt, even though I already own a MPC Live 2? I may get a Digitakt, Digitone, or the Polyend Play next, but I don't want to buy redundant gear. The Polyend Play seems really interesting, and I think it's different enough from the MPC, that it wouldn't be redundant.

Wow! This increased my GAS by at least 25%. Nice work. Love the sharper synth sounds around the midpoint of the track, very effective and crisp, yet still fitting with the overall vibe.

Beautiful! Bravo. Question: to what extent would you say your performance was fully programmable/automable? Would the sequencer/song mode/pattern chaining/plocks/etc. handle all that nuance and detail you played, or do you think some live-playing is unavoidable to get the sort of performance you gave?

LFO's all over the place. On the chord its an LFO to the balance
@@EZBOT_ right now I’m messing with an LFO to modulate the chord ratio and the second LFO to modulate the depth of the first LFO. Super interesting sounds.

LFO perhaps?
You can change the resolution for each track individually so maybe that’s how? Just make the track very high resolution and sequence the notes?
Could have also used an LFO on the note choice?

It's a bit of a mouthful but its full page of trigs and LFO to filter env depth, start with filt freq very low. 2x speed on the pattern settings

Dear Ezbot. Question :
If you could choose between elektron samples or digitakt tot accompany the Syntakt which one would you choose. Thuis question from the perpecive that I want to make music live. I mean I know that the digitakt and the samples are both samplebased grooveboxes and that the digitakt is a more deeper machine and a real sampler nut nevertheless I am interested what you would choose and why when talking as a performer with these machines
