I love bismuth! It is so unusual and unique! Its always fun to watch somebody else get their work space filthy and covered! And burned, everybody does get a little bit spattered, spilled, dripped, etc. They turned out pretty good! They turned out pretty awesome! They crystal structures are really cool! And the colors are gorgeous! Great job. My fave is the first little one too. Thanks for sharing!

Such an interesting crystal structure and beautiful colors! 11:00 is definitely the most interesting. Will definitely look for part 2!

Largest/best crystals will grow on the bottom of the pot… so after giving them time to grow you can slightly reheat the pot and the base will melt off the pot and float up, where you can scoop them out. :)

Just found your channel on my chase of all things petrified wood. This was a fun distraction as well.
Question: Where did you source your bismuth ore?

Haha, happy to provide a distraction. It's actually just from Amazon.

@@RockandRoadRockhounding Thank you. Ingot was the key searchword that I was missing. Onto another project that I don't have time for!

Bismuth is fun stuff! I wonder if a wooden utensil would work better?

I tried toothpicks and they just burned up, I wonder if something bigger might work though.
