I remember in 2005, I was on board Carnival Holiday when Hurricane Katrina destroyed our homeport Mobile Alabama. We could not dock, we were in the middle of the ocean for whole 24 hours and the ship was pitching. And miles ahead we could see the scary dark clouds. The Captain kept announcing and updating about where the hurricane was heading. That was scary!
We did! There were a few different reasons we heard but the official one was due to a strike. For us personally, we hadn't been to Vigo before so we didn't mind but there were some that had booked specifically for Paris and they were really upset. I guess that's the risk with cruising, ports can be cancelled with little or no notice 🥲
