Let's speak on music stage and dance: there is a lot that came over from the journey but all must also acknowledge that fads change and we turn it up in word-play, cadences, arrangements, dance, MCing, Slang/Ebonics, attire, and the list goes on. Because Us Black Americans are the blueprint worldwide, (we didn’t choose to be) our culture has become a trend that people feel like, ooh let me try that too. Then they try to compete. It’s not about that. Our culture didn’t consist of us watching others and trying to do it better, it’s the lemons that we turned into lemonade. Now everyone wants a sip.
Our culture was how we rap battled on the streets, made up dances everytime we get with our cousins, Wild n’ out show was literally how we played. white people exploited our lives on tv. For free. Now it’s a worldwide trend.
They forget they actually have culture, tradition customs, ours were beaten out of us. We will never know our original culture and language. This is all we have. The fact that Akon has culture but chose to rep ours speaks volumes. We always felt like everything’s better in the motherland, never hated.
So for Akon to say “we do it better” is crazy and hurtful, cause we are being raped by everyone. He literally used and raped our culture, left and shitted on us. He never understood/innerstood us if he can feel like that.
They see our lives as a trend, our walk our talk. To us this is just us. Not one person in our community asked or begged anyone to come be apart of us y’all just came without an invitation and sat yourselves at our dinner table. Ate most of the food, took a plate home, tried to cook it yourselves, then said our food is nasty yours is better. Like literally.

As an ultra indigenous American, I too am offended, I stopped calling my people black but, ultra indigenous. We forged this country, had everything taken from us. This includes our language, culture and our worship,we therefore, had to reinvent ourselves and our way of life. Now, everyone wants to be like us, flattering but annoying at the same time. My gripe with us is self esteem and self hate, we took nothing and made it something, who in history has done this?,and not just once. I'm proud to be who I am, not proud of how easy it is for some of us to sell ourselves to the highest bidders, but we need some change and deleting each other is not the answer, whether it's verbally, physically and any other way known to be. He's not the only one who's done this, there's others and it's not just this continent. Before it's too late, wake up indigenous people, the time is coming and you must be ready.

Division & mudslinging not needed.

Also this artist promote violence, thuggish lifestyles and behaviours that causes detriment to the youths lives, encouraging them that been bad is cool. This needs to stop, they can’t continue to corrupt the minds of the youths, it’s getting too much. Also, I notice it’s only black and African artists that don’t support their own especially the upcoming ones. They try to pull down the upcoming artists, while the ones that have succeeded and what to help the community, they assassinate or form gangs to rob him(as if they feel threatened of his wealth and progress), when he definitely want to help the community.

Exactly. Blacks Americans do say degrading statements about people from Africa, and Caribbean countries as well, and when it's throw back at them, they'll all scream racism, or jealousy, and hatred that they claim we have towards them. When they do that to Africans and Caribbeans, it's okay, but to FBA'S is not, let it make sense.
