Haven’t seen a comment about this, so thought I’d add: To me, Polarize is about how we keep our thoughts and feelings disconnected from our actions. We often need to act happy for other people around us or in order to fit in with society. The “weird problems” part has always hit home for me. Sometimes it’s really difficult to explain what you feel to others or you believe you don’t deserve to complain since other people have it worse. The “I think I lost my halo” part refers to Tyler finally accepting he has issues, and it’s ok to acknowledge that. He’s no longer a perfect, innocent facade. Anyone agree? It's been years but this is still one of my favorites. You can tell that the message in this song is about a person who admits their wrongdoings and hates themselves for doing so. Consequently, the person pleads and begs to be helped in changing themselves for the better. The person wants to start something new, wants to organize his disheveled thoughts by sorting the wrong and right, and finally have his redemption. However, it is not that easy to do that all by themselves because they will inevitably get tempted more often than not to do bad things again. That's why he needs help "help me polarize." That, for me, is deeply relatable

Diego Villa I was kind of having a really hard time and when my friend saw how I was and knew I was to be put on higher drugs the following week for my OCD and depression and anxiety and a few more, she surprised me with really good tickets to their show and when I got there, I was moping around and a little lost and I guess anxious because of my sensory issues and we got to seeing the show and Tyler started talking and near the end when they sang trees, I was a lot better and haven't felt that good since before my mom and sister died. We got to meet them after and I realized that they worked so hard to keep people alive and when I thought I wouldn't live to see the next month, I'm living two years later. He told me that I was going to be okay. It sounds kind of dumb, I know, but my goal is to live to December 1 each year. ll-//

Diego Villa I was kind of having a really hard time and when my friend saw how I was and knew I was to be put on higher drugs the following week for my OCD and depression and anxiety and a few more, she surprised me with really good tickets to their show and when I got there, I was moping around and a little lost and I guess anxious because of my sensory issues and we got to seeing the show and Tyler started talking and near the end when they sang trees, I was a lot better and haven't felt that good since before my mom and sister died. We got to meet them after and I realized that they worked so hard to keep people alive and when I thought I wouldn't live to see the next month, I'm living two years later. He told me that I was going to be okay. It sounds kind of dumb, I know, but my goal is to live to December 1 each year. ll-//
