For towing I still use AAA and they also are known for bringing you gasoline when you ran out of gas on the road. So in that spirit AAA now has tow trucks that can bring you a charge roadside. Personally I thing any driver needs to practice energy management and running out of gas or electricity is due to inattention of the driver.

Granted, there are "other" expenses for an EV, or a Tesla specifically, but also consider that we are at the beginning of a transition period moving from ICE vehicles to EVs. Generally speaking, transition periods of any kind tend to be chaotic by nature. Current EV owners are Early Adopters pioneering the world of EV transportation. Because there are many Utubers who mention only the positive things about their car, but never say the negative.

It would be good if all Utubers who have an electric car should talk about both the positive and the negative.
This is one of the reasons that electric cars are expensive, for pure positive advertising.
Another very important thing, when buying a new car, it does not matter what brand it is, whether it is gasoline or electric. It should work for you without any problems for at least 4 to 5 years, or maybe more. Of course, taking into consideration how much you are going to take care of it.
I always was stumped when asked what I wanted for Christmas or my Birthday. Now I keep a wish list and ask for a Tesla accessory!

We've had our Model Y for almost 2 years, and it's been great. Does the car tell you when it's time to change tires?
Parts are hard to get for autobody shops too! Long waits for repairs.

Taxes are inevitable!
Chargers are one time thing and not terribly expensive. And can be part of the savings of Elect vs Gas calculation.
Windshields are in that price range.
Insurance is an additional expense.

A flatbed truck or comparable transport vehicle is the recommended method of transporting Teslas. The vehicle can face either direction when using a flatbed. If a Tesla must be transported without a flatbed truck, then wheel lifts and dollies must be used to ensure that all four wheels are off of the ground. Gas cars do not require this and do not need the dolly.
That’s absurd the insurance wouldn’t cover the windshield
The windshield is covered - I know - I have had two windshields replaced in the past 6 months on my Model Y. And, because it was going to take a day to do the work, the Tesla Service Center gave me a loaner to drive each time. The first time it took two full days due to being backed up in the shop so they gave me a Model S Plaid to drive!
Driving a Tesla around is like driving a Faberge egg around. No thanks.
